Good morning. I'm tired. it's 5:30 am and I'm up. Gotta be in to work at 7:30. Probably gonna go hit up some reggae show tonight that this dude I work with was telling me about. I guess he's friends with them. Should be fun, especially now that my ganja brownies are done.
What are you going to do to make this the BEST saturday EVER?!

Ganja brownies and reggae shows are certainly a great way to spend the day (evening)! Have some fun man!
I am dosing with a close long time friend today and going on a good long day hike.
Nothing like a nice mellow LSD trip on a nice mellow Saturday in the nice mellow woods :] :] :]

Eating breakfast now, then hitting the gym. Tomorrow is my nephew's 4th birthday, so we're having his party today. I got him a remote control helicopter. It says ages 14 & up, but my nephew is a miniature version of me, and I know how he rolls better than anyone else. He's gonna rage the shit out of this helicopter. I can't wait to see the look on his face when he opens it.

Do you go to the gym on the regs or is that a new habit? I don't think I've seen you post about it before.

Yeah I've been going on the reg for a few years now. I started when I was in rehab, and it's a habit that stuck. Yoga is a new thing though....started that this spring.

I did yoga a bit when I lived near a yoga place. It was very nice. Never been much of one to do the gym though. Aikido is mainly where it's at for me as far as exercise. That and walking/hiking

I took Tae Kwon Do for years when I was younger, then stopped when I got into drugs. I'd like to get into a martial art again, but it's not an option until I graduate. Aikido is on my short list as far as the ones I'm interested in though. I'll never stop lifting though. I love it, and I'm a naturally scrawny ass dude. Like really scrawny. So I have to lift mad weights & eat a ton of food to have any sort of muscle mass. I'm still not a big guy, but I'm pretty big for my frame, and cut. The yoga really played a role in cutting me up. I have a lot more endurance/functional strength now. I also went rock climbing with a buddy of mine, and that's something else I want to get into, once again when I graduate. Having classes + papers + tests + fieldwork & stuff kinda limits my opportunities. As does not being able to work.

So have you tried the ganja brownies yet chris or are you saving them for later?
Today I begin my 2 week tolerance break from weed. Getting through the first few days is going to suck because I get pretty irritable during that time. But after that I should be good. I've been needing this now for some time and I am looking forward to not being so foggy-headed all the time. After those 2 weeks, I will be buying a small amount to have for a candyflip that I have been planning for a while now. Then when that runs out, I am quitting indefinitely until I get my shit together again. Or until my dad's harvest is ready to smoke, whichever comes first. This is the first time I have ever gotten to see real live cannabis plants in person and they are beautiful. Fucking things are already 7 or 8 feet tall and they still have a few months until harvest time. I helped him pick his seeds and we got all sativa strains, my favorite. Goat Wreck Haze, Old Timer's Haze, Tangerine Dream, and Acapulco Gold. I can't wait to try homegrown weed and hopefully make some edibles too.

Well good for you for buckling down and putting other things aside for the sake of education. Sometimes I wish I had done that, but in my heart I know it wasn't the right path for me. Still though, I admire people like you who are able to do it.

Thanks man. I didn't think it was for me either, but my junkie years put the kibosh on my other life plans. By the time I kicked, I was ready to find something more above ground to do for a living, and I was tired of restaurants & warehouses. I have one more year of school left, then it's on. I may take it further in the future, but it's unnecessary at the moment, and I'm burned out on school.

I was planning on taking a tolerance break beginning Monday. Two weeks sounded like a enough time to me as well but I have doubts I'll even make it that long. Ehh fuck it...maybe a week will suffice.
How big is your pops grow? Its is pretty cool witnessing the process and maturation of cannabis firsthand. I plan on one day moving to a state where I can live peacefully and legally grow my own bud. It should be our right to grow cannabis but instead its a privilege afforded only to those fortunate enough to live in a progressive state. Still though, legalization in this country, even if on a small scale, did happen faster then I anticipated.
Uhh...anyway...Happy Saturday. Yeah...

I'm going to be a COTA (certified occupational therapy assistant) Basically, we use occupation (not someone's job, but any meaningful activity that they take part in) therapeutically to treat patients with a wide variety of disorders & traumas. It's a holistic approach. Let me give you an example; we have a patient that suffered a left CVA. that's a stroke in the left side of the brain. Different functions are impacted depending on where the CVA struck. For this example, I'm just going to discuss the physical impact. If the CVA strikes in the L hemisphere of the brain, the right side of the body is impacted, and vice versa. So this patient is suffering from right hemiplegia ( their entire right side is incredibly weak, leaving them wheelchair bound) We would use their activites of daily living to treat them.
So we would work on dressing, bathing, wheelchair -> rolling walker -> toliet transfers, and back. We would teach the use of adaptations, do a home evaluation, and adapt the home environment. During the course of therapy we would decrease the amount of assistance offered, so that the patient will become more & more independent, until they were ready to go home.
We treat patients with CVAs, dementia, MS, MG, lupus, ALS, Huntington's Disease, amputations, fractures, cerebal palsy, autism, down's syndrome, so on & so forth.....you name it, we can treat them. It's a fascinating field, and extremely rewarding. It's also guaranteed that I'll have a job.

I'm probably just going to sit in different positions and take hot showers all day until this terrible nausea goes away.

I have none and am in no condition to drive. I tried some peppermint tea to no avail. Half a bottle of pepto and some tums and its still hitting me hard.
Sometimes I get these nausea spells after a restless night and I just have to wait it out.
