The happy Saturday thread!

Good morning. I'm tired. it's 5:30 am and I'm up. Gotta be in to work at 7:30. Probably gonna go hit up some reggae show tonight that this dude I work with was telling me about. I guess he's friends with them. Should be fun, especially now that my ganja brownies are done.
What are you going to do to make this the BEST saturday EVER?!

Ganja brownies and reggae shows are certainly a great way to spend the day (evening)! Have some fun man!
I am dosing with a close long time friend today and going on a good long day hike.
Nothing like a nice mellow LSD trip on a nice mellow Saturday in the nice mellow woods :] :] :]

Eating breakfast now, then hitting the gym. Tomorrow is my nephew's 4th birthday, so we're having his party today. I got him a remote control helicopter. It says ages 14 & up, but my nephew is a miniature version of me, and I know how he rolls better than anyone else. He's gonna rage the shit out of this helicopter. I can't wait to see the look on his face when he opens it.

Do you go to the gym on the regs or is that a new habit? I don't think I've seen you post about it before.

Yeah I've been going on the reg for a few years now. I started when I was in rehab, and it's a habit that stuck. Yoga is a new thing though....started that this spring.

I did yoga a bit when I lived near a yoga place. It was very nice. Never been much of one to do the gym though. Aikido is mainly where it's at for me as far as exercise. That and walking/hiking

I took Tae Kwon Do for years when I was younger, then stopped when I got into drugs. I'd like to get into a martial art again, but it's not an option until I graduate. Aikido is on my short list as far as the ones I'm interested in though. I'll never stop lifting though. I love it, and I'm a naturally scrawny ass dude. Like really scrawny. So I have to lift mad weights & eat a ton of food to have any sort of muscle mass. I'm still not a big guy, but I'm pretty big for my frame, and cut. The yoga really played a role in cutting me up. I have a lot more endurance/functional strength now. I also went rock climbing with a buddy of mine, and that's something else I want to get into, once again when I graduate. Having classes + papers + tests + fieldwork & stuff kinda limits my opportunities. As does not being able to work.

So have you tried the ganja brownies yet chris or are you saving them for later?
Today I begin my 2 week tolerance break from weed. Getting through the first few days is going to suck because I get pretty irritable during that time. But after that I should be good. I've been needing this now for some time and I am looking forward to not being so foggy-headed all the time. After those 2 weeks, I will be buying a small amount to have for a candyflip that I have been planning for a while now. Then when that runs out, I am quitting indefinitely until I get my shit together again. Or until my dad's harvest is ready to smoke, whichever comes first. This is the first time I have ever gotten to see real live cannabis plants in person and they are beautiful. Fucking things are already 7 or 8 feet tall and they still have a few months until harvest time. I helped him pick his seeds and we got all sativa strains, my favorite. Goat Wreck Haze, Old Timer's Haze, Tangerine Dream, and Acapulco Gold. I can't wait to try homegrown weed and hopefully make some edibles too.

Well good for you for buckling down and putting other things aside for the sake of education. Sometimes I wish I had done that, but in my heart I know it wasn't the right path for me. Still though, I admire people like you who are able to do it.

Thanks man. I didn't think it was for me either, but my junkie years put the kibosh on my other life plans. By the time I kicked, I was ready to find something more above ground to do for a living, and I was tired of restaurants & warehouses. I have one more year of school left, then it's on. I may take it further in the future, but it's unnecessary at the moment, and I'm burned out on school.

How big is your pops grow? Its is pretty cool witnessing the process and maturation of cannabis firsthand. I plan on one day moving to a state where I can live peacefully and legally grow my own bud. It should be our right to grow cannabis but instead its a privilege afforded only to those fortunate enough to live in a progressive state. Still though, legalization in this country, even if on a small scale, did happen faster then I anticipated.

I'm going to be a COTA (certified occupational therapy assistant) Basically, we use occupation (not someone's job, but any meaningful activity that they take part in) therapeutically to treat patients with a wide variety of disorders & traumas. It's a holistic approach. Let me give you an example; we have a patient that suffered a left CVA. that's a stroke in the left side of the brain. Different functions are impacted depending on where the CVA struck. For this example, I'm just going to discuss the physical impact. If the CVA strikes in the L hemisphere of the brain, the right side of the body is impacted, and vice versa. So this patient is suffering from right hemiplegia ( their entire right side is incredibly weak, leaving them wheelchair bound) We would use their activites of daily living to treat them.
So we would work on dressing, bathing, wheelchair -> rolling walker -> toliet transfers, and back. We would teach the use of adaptations, do a home evaluation, and adapt the home environment. During the course of therapy we would decrease the amount of assistance offered, so that the patient will become more & more independent, until they were ready to go home.
We treat patients with CVAs, dementia, MS, MG, lupus, ALS, Huntington's Disease, amputations, fractures, cerebal palsy, autism, down's syndrome, so on & so forth.....you name it, we can treat them. It's a fascinating field, and extremely rewarding. It's also guaranteed that I'll have a job.

I have none and am in no condition to drive. I tried some peppermint tea to no avail. Half a bottle of pepto and some tums and its still hitting me hard.
Sometimes I get these nausea spells after a restless night and I just have to wait it out.

Yeah I had been planning this tolerance break for a while now too but kept giving in. Never thought trying to quit weed would be so hard but once it turns into a habit it just feels weird not smoking anymore. But alas, it must be done. I have got to get my motivation back again and weed just kills it.
His grow was originally around 20 plants but not all the strains we got were feminized. I think he has already chopped 5 or 6 male plants and he has 8 females right now. Still waiting on most of the Old Timer's Haze plants to start showing their sex since he planted them last. Shouldn't be too much longer now. I figure he will probably get a couple more females which will put him at around 10 females all together. Not bad for his first grow since the 1980's.
And yeah I know how you feel about legalization. I am in the bible belt so you can guess how it is around here. I will just say guerrilla grows ftw.

Hey guys. I'm going to my son's soccer game. After that, we're taking the canoe out in the marsh. Low tide is so rad because you've got 4 feet of mud and another 4 feet of grass. Kind of like a cave with daylight. Tomorrow we're gonna take a few hour drive to play in some waterfalls. Enjoy your day everyone.

Hi friends. Sorry to hear about your nausea goldcap - unfortunately I experience it frequently as well.
We are expecting about two inches of rain this weekend so everyone in my town is excited, the weather man was like "guys I promise you will get rain " haha we have had a shitty monsoon season so this will be nice.
I'm getting hot wings for dinner tonight, cant wait.

Ugh 93 that early in the morning sounds miserable. How do you even sleep at night?
And yum I love honey hot. We usually get 30 or 40 wings when we order them and get 3 or 4 different flavors. The hottest buffalo available is always mandatory, then we usually get lemon pepper and spicy honey bbq.

I love the regular hot wings, but they taste so salty to me lately We usually get a bucket of wings, its about $30 but we munch on them for about three days here and there.
And its hard to sleep at night in the summer. I try to leave the AC on 80 and my electric bill is still 210+ $$ for about 3 months. It sucks.

Yeah we always end up with leftovers too. If you reheat them in the broiler they taste just as good and fresh as the day you bought them.
Geez 80 is still hot for being inside and at night time. I like for the thermostat to be around 72-75 most of the time.

Persistent insomnia causing acute nausea/vomiting. That's my guess anyway. I didn't sleep a wink last night. I might try and catch a nap right now though...I feel pretty beat.

Man I seriously need to stop working on sundays, maybe I should just ask for it off but then that's a big chunk of my paycheque gone.....
Today my aunt is passing through town so I'm going to go meet up with her and eat some chow, not sure where yet. I'm taking a month long break from the ganj starting on monday so I'll probably just get blasted tonight after I meet with my aunt, then again I don't really get much done when I do this so it's kinda a waste of a day. Then again, I'm going to get my shit together during that month long period so I guess it will make up for it
I'll probably just read today, maybe workout and play guitar. Hope everyone has a good day today

I like old sayings. They stick around for a reason. When I wasv12 years old, my younger brother said he was bored. My uncle Ralph responded with, "people that are bored are boring people." It's now been 21 years since I was bored. My mind occupies me always. If I meet a pretty girl and later I call her and she says she's bored, I hang up and erase the number. Don't be bored. Read a book. Climb a waterfall. Whistle a tune. Write a screenplay. Read a novel. Clean your house. Play with some boobies. Learn an instrument. Observe the weather. Find a four leaf clover. The list is endless. Please don't be bored. Life's too short for that shit.

OR if you are going to be board...be EXTREMELY board. so board that you do something that you love and do it in an extremely boring way.
this may sound depressing. and it is. but in the long run its okay to be super super board sometimes, cause you just get it out of your system.

Sup guize? I'm finally home after a long ass 7:30 to 7 shift. It was really hot too. It was cool though. I smoked a little but towards the end of the day and it made me so happy to talk to customers. It's funny how much better I can be at customer service with a little weed high. I just feel so friendly.
Was considering going to a reggae show with a friend from work, but decided against it cuz it doesn't start till 11 or so and I got Aikido class at 7am. Just gonna take a shower, maybe meditate a bit and chill. I'm sure there will be some bowl smoking somewhere in there too.
Had some pretty bomb Filipino food on my way home from work.

My mom asked for my recipe for ganja brownies today. I don't think I've ever been so proud in my life

sigh, i miss being able to eat pot
That'll be a quick trip to the emergency for me nowadays. My body just can't tolerate THC in large amounts anymore without extreme panic
I still toke once in awhile, but I can't hit the bongs, the hash brownies and all that stuff anymore

Bongs are my favorite.
I don't get to break out the bong often anymore. My lungs have gotten weak.

I remember when I was 18, just loved bongs. I had an incredibly expensive, all glass, 6 chamber bong. I could fill up all 6 chambers with thick smoke and empty all 6, no problem. Over and over again until my bag was gone.
lol god I miss the days I could get that stoned
So many funky contraptions I made. My parachute bong was fun to hit off of too. I had glass blown hot knives, vapourizers, gravity bongs, hookahs, you name it. lol I had so much paraphernalia.
When I couldn't smoke it like that anymore, I gave it all away to friends and a couple strangers even
