Are Pre-Sterilized Syringes etc. Good Straight From the Box?

Do you really need to flame new, pre-sterilized needles straight from the container. How about straight from the PC?
Most of what I get that's pre-sterilized is for veterinary use but sometimes I get stuff for humans. Would you trust one more than the other?
Have any of you experienced contaminations that you blame on using pre-sterelized equipment?
I inoculate using a glove box inside a still air chamber and have only occasionally used pre-sterilized equipment. So far I haven't gotten any contaminations that I think can be traced to them.
I'm wondering if I'm using sloppy lab techniques and I'm just lucky, or if what I'm doing is okay.

If the package says sterile on it and the seal isn't broken then yes, they are sterile and good to go whether it is intended for animals or humans.
If you have the money to spend and don't want to take the time sterilizing already used needles, this is a great method to use. In a still air box or glove box just pop open the package of the syringe and then do the same for the needle and fasten the two together while using proper sterile technique. I've used this method for GLCs in the past and it's worker great every time.

They come presterilized. It doesn't huty to flame sterilize anyway though it only takes a few seconds. Also needles can become contaminated during use. It's a good idea to flame sterilize between jars to prevent cross contamination.
