That wouldn't spread very far as a national movement, albeit if you want to live that lifestyle there are others doing it and it might be better for your personal life. My lifestyle is pretty similar, still stuck in the money game buy spending about $400 a month and living larger than my friends spending $3000 a month. Not the size of your wallet but how you use it, even a billion dollars is worthless if you're a miserable square

It's a shame you don't realize you do.

And Obama is by no stretch of the imagination a conservative.

What are my choices again?  Corporate owned party A or corporate owned Party B.
Both say what they think the voters want to hear and they follow their corporate masters agenda anyway.

Conservative lite in comparison to the wacko nutjob conservatives that we have come to think of as the 'average' conservative.  But conservative none the less.  The US under Obama has expanded the conservative agenda of enslaving blacks through drug laws and bombing middle easterners.  Among many other things.

So don't vote. Others will.

Choices consist of moving out of country, or reducing dependence on $.

This is why I'm praying for a certain super volcano to press the restart button. That or a solar flare, but most govs are ready for that. Both will happen; that's not even a question. Nature supports neither party & we need to stop as well. We feed these power pigs, so we need to start claiming our bacon. When TSHTF do we really want this to be the way future generations remember us? Stop bitching about Obama & Bush & make them obsolete. Take a hold & take control.

You know how much of a stoner Obama was? There aren't even any pictures of me smoking a joint and I'm not the president of the United States. LOL. (That was a joke)

And that's even before everyone had cell phones. Those pictures had to be developed!

Don't hold your breath, the odds of any kind of apocalyptic scenario are sparse. With all the nuclear fallout from the plants being unattended there would be no restart anyways, for nature yes but not humanity.

In Obama's senior yearbook, he makes a shoutout to his "Choom Gang" in front of a bunch of rolling papers.

Not true my friend. cataclysmic meteor strikes, yellowstone errupting, and getting bathed in a solar cme are a certainty. 100%.

Its just a matter of time. 1 year, 10 years, or 10 thousand years.

And dont forget about the gamma bursts from black holes. If one ever hit us, the planet would be dust.

Those are all certainties but the likelihood of any apocalyptic event in our lifetime is pretty much nil, man-made or natural. Think it'll be a few hundred years before humans have safely colonized space and could survive the destruction of our natural habitat, at that rate who knows what the odds are. In our lifetime though there is little reason to worry let alone make a futile change in lifestyle

Apocalyptic events happen randomly. Generally not predictable. One could happen in 5 minutes.

Although i postulate that due to murphys law, just because you said it wont happen in our lifetime, now it will.....

Lol.

My dumb ass thought that a vote for clinton=legal weed.At least we learned a blow job isn't cheating.

Rocks speak to me, and tell me this:
The Hell Creek formation is a gigantic slab of rocks that covers several western states. It contains an account of the dinosaurs' demise.  In the late Cretaceous period, the first Cannabis species appear, and soon after, all the non-bird dinosaurs disappeared. Obviously, marihuana killed the dinosaurs. That giant meteor that smacked the yucatan peninsula right afterwards, coincidence.

My take on it is stop using money... Build a farm. Practice permaculture. Any way you can reduce your dependence on them and their money disempowers them. Also try to get as many other people onboard with the idea, and barter with them your goods. The only way to have an affect is if we band together, and do it in mass.

Individually, we do not have the power to change the world but we do have the power to change the way we live our own lives. Choosing to live a self-reliant lifestyle provides freedom from the system and an easier route to happiness (you know, the one within). The idea is that by doing this, others will see the benefits and make the choice to live a self-reliant lifestyle themselves. It may or may not work to change the world, but that shouldn't be the goal. The goal should be to maximize happiness for oneself while causing the least amount of suffering for everyone else. Remember, we must all be the change that we want to see in the world.
