MG seed harvesting
    #1874658 - 09/02/03 05:33 PM (13 years, 5 months ago)

I have grown morning glories a couple of times for the beauty of the plant and now I have a couple of creeping beauties and want to harvest some seed- the whereabouts of which are wtill unkown to me. If anyone here has any information on harvesting the seed of this plant please god sent it forward with good karma intact so that I can nip this little problem in the bud before it dies or something. Mostly I need to know where it is and when to harvest it (and I suppose if possible anything on drying to store/consume). Just can't find a seed pod or anything. Is it because of my variety being... without seed? Always wondered if it was where I bought them. Onward!

In my experience I have just waited until the plant was pretty much done for the season.... then where the flowers were there was always just a seed pod instead. These pretty much dry up then you pop 'em open and theres your seeds.....
If your plants were grown outside you should definately have some seeds

This is what the seed pods look like and about what they look like when it's time to collect...if you shake it, you may hear seeds rattling
