A few questions on fuzzy mycelium

First post, but long time lurker.
I am attaching a photo of my friend's current dec cake in a FC. It has been in there for 3 days total, 96% rh and averaging 75 degrees F and FAE at least 3x a day.
My first question is, why the sudden growth of dense fuzzy mycelium and little fuzzy balls? What is this bad boy doing?
Second question is, how many days from pinning (estimate) and fruiting?
And for everyone's entertainment, a riddle (dont google the answer unless you don't plan on posting an answer :
The person whom invented it could not use it. The person who bought it did not want it. The person that needs it does not know it. What is it?

That looks a lot like aerial mycelium to me, meaning insufficient FAE

My friend has an air pump that he turns on throughout the day in the chamber (underwater), plus fanning. Should he leave it on all the time?

Why do you care so much about your friend's grow? You should just tell your friend to make an account here and stop being a little bitch who seeks information vicariously through you

He should leave it OFF all the time and operate a true SGFC rather than some half-assed/half-automated underwater air pump system.

It looks like he almost got it right, just tell him to ditch the air pump and make a real SGFC.

I'd say FAE as well...
...and the answer to your riddle is a coffin.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but that cake is contaminated. Even an extreme lack of fae wouldn't cause that mess

Contamed? doubt it!
Seriously, just looks like aerial myc popping up.
Calling contams off one photo of a pretty familiar looking PF cake? tisk tisk.
OP check out the "how and how it shouldn't look new cultivators guide" or some such title, by Tymethl
