Problem with WBS jars
    #18745702 - 08/23/13 05:20 AM (10 years, 5 months ago)

So I inoculated 5 WBS jars two weeks ago with some B+ syringes I got from a shroomery vendor, but there has been no mycelium growth on any of the jars. The WBS does look a little dry but idk what the problem is. The syringes have been sitting in my fridge for a little over a year so could that be it? any help is much appreciated.

You should def see some growth by now even if your wbs is a little on the dry side. Your spores may no longer be viable. Give it another week. What do you have to lose

Do you think maybe I should give them a shake?

Don't shake, you want the spores to be in close proximity so they can mate and if you shake you're just spreading them apart. Only shake at 20-30% colonization. Also It has taken up to three weeks for me to see growth before and I've even heard of it taking a month or a little over for others. Don't get too discouraged yet.
