Anyone over 25, what movie from your youth has held up well upon recent watching?

Jogging through a list of movies I liked as a teen. Half this shit is just that, shit. Not sure if movies are, in general, getting better... or I've just seen more movies and have a higher expectation, or am just an old fuck.
Terminator, the original, was fucking awesome when I was a little kid. Now it's like...damn, that's rough. Some DIY camerawork there...
Good Fella, Edward Scissorhands, Miller's Crossing, those still stand up. But so many cutting edge, mind blowing moves BITD , today, just don't do shit for me.

Cube, Hellraiser, Alien 1, Universal soldier, Saw, Terminator 1/2/3 , good old movies :-)
The Matrix, Office Space
last 2 are essential, the first matrix is ingenious
I like hackers 1 and 2 too, but 2 is certainly best (Takedown 2000), 2 is pretty nice

I have a feeling people are just posting things they haven't seen in years but remember fondly. Maybe I'm wrong...but that would defeat the purpose of the thread. And, that isn't allowed online.

I could watch Neverending Story any day of the week. Also, Labyrinth. Someone mentioned older Disney movies like Aladdin, etc. I'm on board with that. Sometimes I'll just bust out in "Never Had a Friend Like Me" and I know every. single. word. They have Mulan, Hercules, Pocahontas, and Hunchback of Notre Dame on Netflix. But that's it I guess they have Aristocats and some way older ones...oh well.
Also, I watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail for the first time when I was like 6 and loved it. I think it was a major contributor to the development of my very odd sense of humor.

Yup Aladdin is the shit
I have 4 younger brothers&sisters, so we had pretty much every Disney VHS there were at that time, and I know probably every line on every movie
Sadly, Disney has gone to shit after Mulan&Hercules

This movie totally does not stand up to time, but maybe it could teach you youngsters a lesson. Logan's Run. A society where everyone is euthanized on their 30th birthday in a ceremony called "carousel."

The Burbs.
"We shouldn't pay for that, we should sue them."
-------------------- God takes those closest to us, because it makes him feel better about himself. He is a very vengeful God. He's all pissed off about something we did thousands of years ago. He just can't get over it, so he doesn't care who he takes. Children, puppies, it don't matter to him, so long as it makes us sad. Why does God give us anything? Look at it this way: if you want to make a baby cry, first you give it a lollipop. Then you take it away. If you never give it a lollipop to begin with, it would have nothin' to cry about. That's like God, who gives us life and love and help just so that he can tear it all away and make us cry, so he can drink the sweet milk of our tears. You see, it's our tears, Stan, that give God his great power.
