There is some variability. Partially due to the fact that shroom venders might get mislabled spores to begin with. I think that PF's eq came from hawk, so I'd say that ones pretty safe. Other things that could make a difference would be impropper advanced cultivation techniques which could result in degredation of the strain, and then these new degraded strains being passed around by a new vendor.
For the most part, from the reputable suppliers, the strains all came from the same source around the same time, so it's a pretty good bet.
