Anyone who enjoys good beer

...I'm talking beer, not lager.
Apart from a nice spliff, there's nothing better for chilling than a nice pint of cold beer. I prefer 70/" or 80/" myself, the nicest probably being Caledonian 80/" or Belhaven's Best. They're both smaller Scottish ones so you may not have heard of them.
Anyone else care to mention their poison? In Germany there's so many really nice small brewerys who produce absolutely amazing beer, but they're rarely exported. Anyone ever been to a proper beer festival?

I love guinness, boddingtons, newcastle, sierra nevada. Those are some of my favorites. I also enjoy various hefeweizens and weissbiers. Not sure of the brewery name on most, I just recognise the bottle. However widmer brothers is making a very decent hefeweizen.

I've found Asahi to be total crap, may be the import we get here.
Popular beers:
Guinness (but only on tap, store bought is rubbish, if I can't spoon out the foam what's the goddamn point?) Kronenbourg 1664
Less known:
Sch?tzengarten Klosterbr?u (you will never find that outside north-eastern Switzerland I think, at least in stores) Duvel (fairly widely exported I suppose, just on the expensive side)
I don't know what everyones hardon for weizen is, just gives me terrible heartburn and the shits if in large enough quantities to get me drunk.

Old Stock Ale by the North Coast Brewing Co. They only make about 2,400 cases of it. It's 11.4% and if you cellar it for a year or so the flavor gets soooo smooth! www.northcoastbrewing.com

Yeah, heather ale! It's called Fraoch. They claim it's been brewed for 4000 years, by the picts originally. Or something. I was briefly on Iona (a tiny Scottish island off Mull, a bigger small Scottish island ) and they drank it all the time there.

Theres a pub in my town that sell only local beers, some of which are very good. Honey beers have to be my favorite in summer, moving on to bitters in winter :-)
Outside that pub, I'm a stellar man

I have enjoyed beers from all over. My HomeBrew and HomeGrown can't be beat. I just kegged up five gallons of hazel nut brown ale, and have a batch of razberry wheat in the fermenter right now. the honey orange blossom ale we drank last month was great and so was the blueberry.
For the very best brew your own.

I have drank way more than my fair of Natty Ice. The shitty things is that here in Utah all beer is 3.2% by state law ( how fucked up is that) so we have to go to Wyoming or find someone in the military that can get REAL beer. Thats why i choose to make my own beer.
Crack open a cold one for all the appressed beer drinkers in utah.

I think Belgian Ales rule the Earth, they're all unique from each other...Gulden Drak will knock your socks off, and Orval Trappist is really good, the trappist beers in general are so smooth and delicate. The lambics are great too. Someone mentioned North Coast Brewing, they make some great beers...Anchor Steam Xmas ale rules.
