Meh, nothing pisses me off more then loading up a 64 game and all the textures are missing or bouncing around the screen.

You don't seem to understand.
Skyrim with mods is one of the more GPU demanding games out there. Emulators use about 1/30th of the resources. Period. I will say again. If your emulators do not run right, but GPU demanding games do, it is a setting / driver /software issue. Not your computer.
You do not need a "hella awesome" computer to run emulator games. My shitty laptop from 2007 can run Ps2 AND dolphin emulator games no problem.
...Switched it to OpenGL, runs much better.. Most of the games that wouldn't even start are working too.

You mean keyboard and mouse.. I tend to agree for most N64 games. I have a N64 USB controller which I got for just that reason. it's fucking awesome!

If I ever have a kid I'm going to lock that shit in a basement for hours a day before he can go outside and force him to play snes and 64 games like I did growing up.
"But dad can I go out and play?"
"NO, your friends don't want to play videogames, STAY HOME!"

Dude, you need to start them out on Atari. Then they learn to use their imagination. After a bit of that then you can progress upwards into the better looking games.

Best games for imagination are those text based adventures, no graphics at all.
