Illegal Rackets!

I recently read a story where local police busted an illegal shooting range. Like literally where people go shoot at targets (at first I though it meant shooting dope). The guy was making a killing charging people to use the range and rent out guns (illegally). I was wondering what other unique rackets are out there? Some I've heard: Illegal Cable Installation Illegal Mining Animal Breeding
Let me know if this should be in a diff place

god damn, fuck government regulation, that guy was running a perfectly fine money making venture and the police shut it down because the state wasn't making money off it.
oh and to answer your question. I used to know a guy who worked off the books (cash only) doing installations of home improvements without permits or license's. Not really a unique job per se, but i live in oregon and you need expenses permits for EVERYTHING here, so he made quite a bit of money.

Big corporate government sponsors want every industry to be controlled by big business. To eliminate the little man.

A friend of a friend's buddies took an abandoned building and turned it into an illegal pub for some months. Drink was cheap and when the place was roaring they stayed open as long as they liked, without any rent, taxes or licenses.
Theres an illegal lottery in my town and I'm sure a few illegal casinos.
When my central heating/hot water unit broke down I had it replaced by a super fuel efficient model which was a very costly affair. It was to cost me $3000. But, the mechanic said, "I have the licence, the equipment and trade connections, I can professionally install you the exact same unit after hours for $2000. That way I make an extra buck and you save a full $1000 on the same job, in taxes and my employer's cut." So there
Theres also an illegal central heating unit racket, the world is full of those things if you know where to look.
