Wbs first timer
    #18740061 - 08/21/13 10:03 PM (10 years, 5 months ago)

Inoculated 5 quart jars with around 1.5-2 cc ms.
My question is I still see no growth.
And there is no condensation in my jars.

Is there something wrong?
And around how many days should I expect to see growth.

I've had growth take up to three weeks from MS and even heard of it taking about a month for others and sometimes you get nothing. Just gotta be patient. MS is a crapshoot.

you're still good it can take up to three weeks for first signs:thumbup:

one time i was experimenting with whole wheat flour and it took like a month for the first myc to pop up. the only reason i kept it that long was because i was to busy to throw the substrate out and clean the jars

turns out two of my jars already have growth.

i was just looking in the wrong spots.

the first growth started at the very bottom of the jars.

which lead me to belive there is possibly growth in the center of the other three.

I started my first round of WBS 12 days ago from MS. I inoculated 6 quart jars with ~1 cc of KSSS each. One of my jars is blazing ahead of the others and is already about 15% colonized. Three others are showing growth from top to bottom of the jar on just one side, approximately 3-5% colonized. One has only slight signs of growth, and the last one has no sign whatsoever.

I think it all boils down to patience. Give them time and don't give up unless you see growth that doesn't look friendly.

18th? You're being impatient. I have 7 albino a+ jars which were nocced on the 16th and still no signs. I also have 7 z strain jars which were nocced up on the 19th and those are almost at 10 percent colonization. Patience!!!
