Alright, please bear with me here as this report may seem a little scattered and events may be out of place. Not only was it intense as HELL, but it was 3-4 years ago and I've just finally decided to write a report about it. Hope you enjoy!
The night before the actual trip, I had taken DXM (Robotussin) for the first time and tripped balls. Ended up walking around for hours on a mission to find tobacco and suddenly, me and the dude I was with got the idea to sell my ipod for about 7.2ish grams of 'magic mushrooms' and a little bit of weed. Staring at those mushrooms all night while robo tripping to trippy rap was an experience of it's own but the adventure didn't start until the next morning...
Woke up, had a good feeling. It was Fall and the air was crisp and cool, but enjoyable as any Fall fanatic like myself would like it. I believe it was September? Me and the same dude from the previous night decided to start slowly eating the shrooms to decide if they were poisonous (which I believe the spacing of ingestion affected the course of the trip). While walking to a friend's house on this beautiful day, we just discussed how we thought it'd be and upon arrival (after walking a couple miles), we went to his room and finished the rest of the shrooms over a small period of time. Probably about 20 minutes or so. I believe me and the friend I went there with consumed about 3.5ish grams and gave the other friend some 'shroom flakes'.
We smoked some weed to make the time pass and put in the 40 year old virgin to try and trip to and after about 30 or so minutes, as I was watching it, I noticed Steve Carell's eye turned silver. The thing that freaked me out is that wherever he looked, his eye was still silver... just his. After noticing this for a few seconds, it's like my vision suddenly expanded beyond the TV... as if the TV wasn't enough for my mind and it felt like a weird, tunnel-stretch effect that you see in so many 'trippy' movies. I recommended that we all go outside. My other 2 friends were deadset on watching silver-eyed Steve Carell....
..So I slowly curled into a ball on a bed and shut my eyes. I envisioned nature (deer, rivers, birds) all flowing around the house we were in; almost calling to us. I felt nature and heard the sounds of it. Then suddenly it seemed to just STOP, and I shot up and looked at my friends, who both decided we should all go outside.
Upon opening the door, I was embraced by a cool, Fall breeze that made the grass wave and revealed a whiter-than-usual tint to it. I felt relieved and way more content in being outside, in nature. I also remember standing on the porch and my lips being numb... very, very numb. We just kind of walked around a bit in the yard and my friend had put his arms inside his shirt (it was Fall, after all) and for a second, I literally thought he had no arms. I very calmly asked him where his arms were and after his answer, I realized this was taking me to a mental level I've never been to before. The trees also had a nice, blue-ish tint to them.
Some time later, we walked down to a field across from the house. This was probably one of the most distinct parts of my trip. I remember feeling intense joy! Feelings of love, renewal, pure happiness surged through me. Then, suddently, FEAR. Intense, primal fear. The fear that makes your stomach knot up, your bowels weaken, and your heart drop into your gut. Then, back to happiness... then fear.... then joy. Back and forth, this happened for what felt like forever but was probably only a minute or so. I talked myself down and kept reminding myself I was only tripping, and that this was normal.
We sat in the field, which happened to be close to a gun club , absolutely tripping!! I remember hearing a lawn mower (which I took as a chainsaw) and a girl shout (which I took as a scream for help) and upon putting the two together, I told my friends that I believed someone may have just gotten killed... although even I knew this was a crazy idea. I distinctly remember hearing a 'plop' in the river right near us and my friend said that as that happened, the ground right next to him had the splash / ripple effect of water! I was amazed.
We went back to the house to get a few cigs. Disappointed that we had only a few, we treated them like gods. We smoked one of the cigs in the car and I accidentally lost the ember in the car, right when we found it under the seat, a piece of paper had lit on fire as soon as we got it out. We realized that his could've been catastrophic had we not been so quick, which had an even deeper meaning since we were tripping.
After some more minor adventure, we set off into the woods. I don't quite remember if the leaves were changing colors yet, but I do remember them being HUGE and distinct. Everything was so vivid and beautiful. The trees seemed to talk to us. Like some sort of telepathic communication. We looked at the trees and had such a great respect for them, realizing how old and 'wise' they were . We got to this spot were we liked to kick it at and smoked some more weed on a slight rock cliff. It's like the trip kicked back in, but this time more mental and meaningful. We could think clearly and embraced the high. I noticed all the trees in the area were literally all connected to each other through their root systems. I drew from this that we, all organisms, are all connected in some way or another... oneness.
After watching my friend fall down the rock cliff (hilarious), we headed back to the house and finally set off. It was almost night and the trip probably lasted from 6-8 hours but it was almost over. Before we left, however, we smoked more weed and heard the redneck above fire off a shot from his big ol' boomstick. Needless to say, this was more than freaky. We walked back to my house and in the dark, the road seemed to stretch and never end and then magically, we were at the intersection of my road and another. Crazy!
After arriving at my house, we smoked more weed and I remember picking my cat up and seeing her skeletal structure as well as her soul. Freaked me out just a little bit.
After that trip, for quite a while after (a few months, probably), every time I smoked weed, my lips would go numb just like on the shroom trip. I believe this is considered a flashback somewhat? Also, for the first few days after tripping, it's like every time we smoked, we almost went into a trip state again.
Tripped 2 more times after that all within a month, I think. They weren't nearly as intense or distinct. I felt fear, ecstasy, confusion, relief, enlightenment, and much more on shrooms. Although I would say I had somewhat of a bad trip in the middle, I don't regret a thing and can't wait until my next encounter.
Hope you enjoyed!
