Can dehydrator degrade cactus resin?

I've read a few posts over at the nexus stating that heat -especially dry heat- is bad for the actives in cactus resin, though I have also seen many people state that they use dehydrators when drying their own.
I really want to use the dehydrator as that will actually dry the sticky resin properly and make it more manageable and easy to scrape up.
Anyone any ideas? I thought I'd use a dehydrator on the lowest setting.
Many thanks in advance!

Mescaline has a vaporization point of 180 °C (356 °F). Unless your dehydrator exceeds these temperatures, you should be fine. I'm unaware of other actives in cacti, though, and I could be only partially right.

No, when boiling at 212 degrees it doesn't so why would less heat do any different just because it's dry heat? How do you think all these people who sell a lot of dried cactus dry theirs? By the sun?

Well it was a guy called 69 Ron over at the nexus who certainly seems to be a bit of a boffin on such matters (hence all the teks). He advised people to take care when drying as he was sure that mescaline is very sensitive to heat, despite what others said.
He also talked about dry heat being more detrimental to the actives than wet heat, though I don't understand this myself. Thought it was better to be safe than sorry!
I think the particular post (on the nexus) I am referring to is called mescaline and heat!

I thought perhaps drying concentrated cactus resin might leave the actives more exposed to oxidation than would say drying whole cactus skin!
I was almost certain myself that a dehydrator on the lowest setting should present no problems, but I was not going to take no chances!

Dehydrators are especially low dry heat.

Thanks man, already scraped it up! 35 grams of cactus came to about 1.5 grams if I am remembering right. I'm hoping this will be enough for one dose!

I think 10 or 20 grams is about the lowest I've heard of people ingesting for much effect, but I'm not sure cuz I don't usually take it that way.

That would probably be the weight of dried, cut cactus. He's probably talking about an evaporated water soluble extract.

Yeah I used 99.9 percent ethanol! 35 grams dry weight, and about 4 pulls. I got a 5th pull going now from the left overs but doesn't really seem like its going to be worth the time to be honest.
I used to slug raw cactus back when I was a teenager and 25 grams was always a nice though easy dose, but I'm just gauging the potency really!
