Jars not fully colonized but pinning

Yesterday all five jars were still working on colonization and this afternoon I come home to 3 with pins and of those, 1 has a pin pushing through the dry verm layer. What should I do? Go straight to the fruiting chamber? I still need to get a grow light. I wasn't prepared for this. HA!

Cakes will not pin until 100% unless there is a problem.
If they are pinning in the jars they are either contaminated, too wet or your lids were not proper and giving too much o2.

How could mushrooms growing in the jar before birth be considered contamination? There's no green, yellow, off-white, or anything like that. Perhaps it was too much ambient light or something. I would say they're about 1 week shy of being ready to birth. Should I bother with the dunk and roll or just go straight to the chamber? I'm thinking straight to the chamber.

Sorry about that. Didn't mean for it to come out that way. I don't know if it is a contam, it could just have been too packed in the bottom or something. There can be many several reasons, these were just the first ones to pop up.
Can you maybe add a picture for reference?

Well, it could be a last struggle for the mycelium to sporulate before the contam takes over.

I think if you haven't had them consolidating for a week, the standard is to crumble the colonized substrate to a tray and case it with verm.

I'll get a pic up and I just read what you're talking about and now I see how that's possible. I hope that's not my issue! The cake has pulled away from the jar a little and some moisture has built up. I'm worried if I don't birth them now I'll be dealing with rot.
Now I have to read up on the crumble option.

But be aware of the higher risk of contamination when not consolidated, you are opening up a nutrient shop with the uncolonized part and everyone wants in on it!
