Is mushroom tea really shorter?

Does mushroom tea really shorten the trip that much? And if so, what should the duration be? All I can find is articles about how to *make* mushroom tea. Usually when people ask about duration, they ask about it in a side note that goes unanswered.

I have only tried tea once but it lasted a lot longer then I thought it would. I had a spare 2 grams to eat and decided to see if the tea method would be any good for it. I was expecting like a 4-5 hour trip (this was my my prior experiences from just eating them) and ended up getting a 7 hour trip.
Now to be fair I haven't just eaten 2 grams from this flush so I can't really compare it but from all my past experiences about 7 hours was a decent time for only two grams and a little longer then usual.
Again I've only done the tea method the one time and I'm kinda interested what others have to say.

Lemon tek and tea teks don't last as long as normal shrooms. But that's because you're reducing the come up time. It's just up to you whether you'd like a prolonged come up or a sudden wave of "holy fuck, I'm tripping".

For me, onset time is greatly accelerated by grinding to powder and/or lemon tek and tea. I'd say generally duration tends to be somewhat shorter. Like 4 hours instead of 5+ ish.

I find the comeup and peak to be a little more compressed with tea, but I think the overall length of the total trip is comparable from my experience.

I find the tea hits maybe 10 minutes faster but the come up is not quicker and it lasts just as long. Also, you get much less nausea.

Quick onset for us, same duration, best part is no nausea, main reason to do it for me and wifey.

I agree with most of the above.
For me it all depends on how I ingest the tea. If I take sips over an extended period of time (like when I eat them) there is hardly any difference. If I gulp down an entire glass the effect will kick in a lot faster and harder also. Within 15 minutes after ingesting you can literally go from sober to hardcore tripping within seconds. This can catch you off-guard and freak you out (it freaked me the fuck out the first time I tried it).
With tea I usually make quite a lot and end up drinking the stuff throughout the night, prolonging the effects significantly.
With tea I basically get the same nausea as eating raw. For me that is just a common effects of shrooming. I have never puked but there is definitely some discomfort that increases with dosage. I am pretty sure most of it is mental as anxiety translates into nausea/queasiness for me as well.

Which is why I always recommend putting ginger in every cup of shroom tea you brew. It almost completely eliminates stomach discomfort.

The same thing happens to me on acid, and I have tried ginger. Its no problem, I just deal with it.
