Opuntia species. Looks like some amazing spineless variety!

The two main active cacti that i know of look nothing like that. San Pedro is a column with little spines, Peyote (Loph. Williamsii) is a small 'button' of green cactus flesh.

Are there any others? I know theres a lot of varieties of san pedro, but actual different species?

Grafting, eating, growing for fruits... Basically the only thing you can't do with a spineless Opuntia is get high off it.

Yes, at least 6 species in the Trichocereus genus. There is anecdotal evidence of some others, but nothing is yet proven. There are quite a few psychoactive species that contain alkaloids other sans mescaline, Pelecyphora, Ariocarpus, Turbinicarpus, Matucana etc.

Tried to grow, yes. Tried to eat, nope, and really don't intend to. They are all small, slow growing, beautiful species and I could never kill and eat something like that. Bridgesii grows like mad is considered good from what I hear.
But yeah, those other alkaloids produce significantly different experience, I'm sure I've read good reports about Pelecyphora aseliformis, can't remember where tough.
