Mushroom Substrate Help!

I'm Doing the PF Tek.
I was just wondering if I could substitute the Substrate...VERM+Rice flour mix with something else.
I have organic quinoa and organic Whole Grain Oats. It looks and feels kind of like how brown rice flour and verm would feel. ....Would that work instead? I mean mushrooms grow off anything anyway..
Also, I'd like to know how to properly prepare a spore syringe.. I think I know how. But I never actually researched.. Do i just fill a shot glass with water and spores and fill the syringe with it and thats it? Or is there some secret step?
ThanKS for reaDing C:

You can use a blender or coffee grinder with regular whole brown rice (same stuff just not crushed to powder) to substitute the flower but brown rice is ideal since it holds the nutrients for the colonizing mycelium and if your wondering about white rice flower that's a no since it hold no nutrients at all. There are plenty of TEK's that will show you how to create a spore syringe the right way this is really important to do as sterile as possible because you will be inoculating at the most 10-12 jars and if your syringe has been contaminated with mold (or other unwanted spores in the air) all those jars are wasted and will be thrown out...

LOL thanks for replying to my thread <3 <3 <3
Well, that sucks.. Mold spores in the air...
I made a new kind of substrate. Organic cornmeal and organic hand rolled oats.
I havent taken my spores out of their foil yet. but i shall sterilize my needle and my shot glass before innoculating my jar...
I'll post another thread IF this actually WORKS.

You'll need a pressure cooker if you plan on adding whole grains, grinded or not. BRF cakes can be made in a regular pot.
