haven't posted in awhile due to the fact my contamination problem is killing me!!!! for years I used the bucket tech for pasteurization with a 100 percent success rate for the most part. for the past 2 months I have been trying to pasteurize in jars with zero success in all grows ending in green contamination. it seems like everytime I try something new failure comes into play. I also think I might have some turbulence on my flow hood. sorry about my bitching . just needed to vent!!!!

What tek are you following when pasteurizing?
The bucket tek worked great for me for a while...until it failed.....
I have been experimenting with proper pasteurization via franks tek, and with tweaking the bucket tek a little.
I have been using 180-185F degree water in the bucket tek....
Both methods are working great so far....just fruited 8 tubs(4 and 4) using both methods...
All are fully colonized and healthy so far.

im going to for my next tub. I dont think my spawn is the problem considering all my jars look and smell nice amd healthy. im gonna buy a new digital thermometer and see if that might help with the pasteurization in terms of temperature holding and being correct.

Analog meat thermometer. Jar pasteurization is not a broken method. Core temp of jar is what measurement you want to check. Good to see you Cyn.
