No pins from monotub... too dry?

On August 4 I pasteurized cow manure/straw/gypsum substrate in the oven using oven bags and mixed with 14 cheese-grinder shredded cakes to colonized in a monotub. Within 2 days it had appeared to completely colonized (the surface was entirely white) so I removed the tub's covering to expose it to light. (Perhaps it wasn't actually colonized underneath at that point though.) It's now the 20th and, while there doesn't seem to be any sign of contamination (no bad smell, no mold-looking stuff), I haven't gotten any pins, and it's been 2 weeks.
My thought is that perhaps the substrate is too dry. It seemed a bit on the dry side after pasteurization, but I let it be since I read that a little dry is usually better than a little wet (too wet can lead to bacteria). The mycelium appears to have some slight blue bruising, could this be due to too much FAE evaporating the moisture? I've had a fan going 24/7 in the same room (not pointed at the tub) since I'm drying some other mushrooms. I have 6 holes in the monotub, 2 near the top and 4 near the bottom. They are stuffed with polyfil but not very tight - I recently blocked one hole and tightened the polyfil on another, in case too much FAE was the problem. I ordered some more polyfil which should arrive tomorrow.
Ever since I noticed it might be too dry, I've been misting several times a day, but it doesn't seem to help. The sides of the tub have some moisture on them but the mycelium itself doesn't appear to be absorbing much. And I can't seem to get my hygrometer into the 90s range no matter what I do.
The temperature is around 78 in the room with the tub - perhaps a bit on the high side? Unfortunately I don't have a good way of cooling it down, since I can't put on AC in just a single room.
I am considering hooking up a humidifier to see if that will do the trick, would this be a good idea? I was under the impression that you generally don't do this type of thing for monotubs.
(Sorry for lack of pics, I don't have a camera that's capable of taking a high-res enough shot to be worth posting.)

Blue like that typically means it is too dry. I would dunk it for a few hours.
Then fan and mist like normal and you should see some pins eventually.

Cool, thanks. I'll give dunking a try tomorrow. Any tips on water drainage? Since it's a 56 quart tub it seems a bit tricky to get the substrate out in one piece, so I figure I'll just fill up the tub to the lower holes and weigh the substrate down with something, then turn it sideways after a few hours to let the water drain through the holes.

I saw someone place some pvc pipes across the sub in the bottom holes to hold down the sub during dunk and to hold it in while it drained. Ill look for the link.

Is your tub dialed in OP?
Odds are your conditions are suffering if your tub is bluing so quickly.
A picture is worth a thousand words.

Ah, so that's how to dial in. I keep seeing it mentioned but I couldn't find how to actually do it. My polyfil is definitely too loose. Fortunately, I think more should be arriving today.
Dialing in probably won't fix the damage that's already been done however. Should I still go ahead with dunking to replenish moisture?

i would dial it in and just mist heavily a few times.
a picture would help as stated above.
