Habitat: Found by garden in a mostly dirt area. Very shady area. They all seem to be growing in the raspberry patch on the North side of my parent's garden.
Gills: White. Free.
Stem: About 8 centimeters. Has a ring. No volva. Thick, hollow, crunchy, and very weak (it snapped in half when I picked it up).
Cap: Average of about 8.5 centimeters. All of them were convex.
Spore print color: Creamy tan.
Bruising: Does not bruise any color.
Other information: There were about ten of these mushrooms scattered on the north side of my parent's garden. No trees were around. Are these edible? Thanks.

Leucoagaricus leucothites
You should harvest the base of the stem carefully next time so that you can show us that there is no volva which would rule out MidnightCity's ID.

Smoother cap than the phalloides, for one thing? I tend to stay away from anything superwhite with a nice ring on the stipe. ;-)

"The initial quake was a 6.6 but fairly shallow. I felt it as a prolonged up and down vibration followed by a jolt forward and then to the left, like square dancing."

Oh my god, thank you. I think my cat ate a piece of one I picked and when you said they weren't safe to eat I kind of freaked...
