Sheekle said: About a year and a half to two years ago I was extremely depressed. These days I'm happy as shit.
What has helped me? I don't know, nothing specific. Life just keeps happening. Learning, exploring, thinking, just getting wiser with time levels out the world perspective.
I was the same way - depressed as all fuck in the third year of high school, but by the time I graduated, man o man had my view on life changed. To this day I'm extremely in love with life and everything and everyone in it. But I had no earth shattering realization or anything that made me turn my life and outlook around. Just kinda happened. Honestly, starting smoking herb had a lot to do with it (at least in terms of what direction I wanted to take in life, morals, values, opinions, I could go on) but later on only became a distraction and problem.
That, and I am always trying to better myself. I never even come on here anymore (not that this site is bad or anything) because honestly, I fucking hate just 'surfing' the internet - I have the attention span of a fucking gnat, and I need to be moving, doing something, and outside as much as possible. My friend has nothing but good things to say about mediation, and I've been meaning to start myself. Also want to implement the paleo diet sometime soon, every review and testimony of it online is nothing but glowing responses and reactions and experiences.
and it may sound corny, but... give this a read. this book really changed the way I think about things. I got it for something like $4 fucking bucks shipped to my door from Long Beach, California. In fact, I think the book was a single cent from a goodwill store and the shipping was $3.99. Best penny I ever spent

My life turned around by cutting ties to...several unhealthy relationships, and moving several states away - launching my space vehicle on a new trajectory. Things are better now All it took was drastic change. Full-spectrum change
I also don't smoke, barely drink, skate just about every day, eat fairly healthy, supplements, I feed my head positive thoughts from various sources, I work 60 hrs a week, save a large portion of my income, probably 75-80%, I invested in my education and got various credentials, AA degree, international certs from two agencies, study various languages, choose friends wisely. Most of those things have made life healthy, peaceful, and enjoyable.

Soft drugs are fine. Still, minimum money should be spent

Well said.
I think, when all is said and done, that my rampant DXM use is merely a manifestation of not having very much weed lately .

Yeah weed really needs to get 25% cheaper before I start becoming a full on stoner.
The quality of the experience never matches what I pay for it.
Yet.

Have you tried dipping it in Robitussin?
I'm kidding, do not do this.
