Tea with lemon vs. lemon tek

So I've decided my absolute favorite method of ingestion is tea. Munching them gives me way too much nausea on the come up. I ate 2.5 grams and had horrible nausea but I could only puke up a tiny bit. Anyways, I always make my tea by letting the shrooms sit in copious amounts of lemon juice then poring boiling water over the mix and letting it sit for 20 minutes or so. My question is, is it even necessary to add the boiling water or does the lemon get all the goodies out and the water is just overkill? I like the comeup of the tea and I wouldn't want it to be any faster so if I didn't need to add the boiling water, could I just pore the strained lemon juice into some oj and slam it and achieve the same effects?

The active ingredients are soluble in water, more soluble in warmer water and slightly more soluble in acidic water.... Adding lemon juice brings the pH down.... More acidic.
Boiling water breaks down the cell walls, and helps with any bacteria or mold that could be on your mushrooms. Sort of a win win in many ways...
So I recommend boiling water that has a teaspoon of lemon or vinegar or just use lemonaid or cranberry juice vice water.... Toss mushrooms in, let set 15-20 min... Strain and drink
Doing a second extraction seems to be not a bad idea...some folks eat the soaked mushrooms too.
Problem with tea in general is your stomach does t have to digest the mushrooms so you have a quicker come on and shorter trip...
Just my 2 cents

Why strain? Why not just drink all of the mixture?

Cause I make tea to avoid nausea and if I ate it then I would still get nausea.

Lucky you man! Haha. I even get a little nausea from the tea unless it's an underwhelming dose. It's more anxiety related I think and the indigestible mushroom pieces don't help one bit! Any way I dose, it's always over within an hour and not a huge deal.

if one were to not add the lemon into hot water, would you recommend a second wash? also, does a lower ph enable the psilocybin to convert to psilocin?
the come up on a tea can definitely be a little rough sometimes, (especially working with ps. cyans) wondering if i should try it without the lemon for smoother sailing

Well if you think about it, the lemon isn't directly causing the quick come up, the lemon just is causing all of the goodies to come out into a small quantity of water which gets digested quickly. If you want a longer, less rough, come up, make tea as you normally do but drink it over a period of a half hour or so. I like a fast come up so I always just slam it. When I'm with people that sip it slowly, I'm always tripping hard way before they are.

the lemon juice also converts psilocybin to psilocin, something my stomach can do for me... perhaps tea WITHOUT lemon, will be smoother.. but maybe not by much, if even noticeable. i've only ever made tea WITH lemon for the sake of extracting all the goodies but perhaps a lemon free, double wash is what is next. &I have tried sipping over time, but i like my tea hot
