My first hunt! Southern Ontario

I have always had an interest in mushrooms and fungi and decided to slowly explore it in the past few months, including the psychedelic aspects but I am not really looking for psychedelic mushrooms, just getting familiar with all the mushrooms in my area. Though I would be so pumped to find Amanita Muscaria here. Hopefully you guys can help me out if my id'ing isn't very good!
These pictures were taken on two separate trips taken in the past week. I walked in a somewhat neglected forest path nearby, that I realized was actually quite large when you went off the trails.
Trichaptum biforme
These things grow like crazy! three logs were scattered around all covered in these guys.
Ganoderma applanatum (Artist's Conk)

Xerula radicata *fixed*
I saw tons of these all over
Calvatia Gigantea (Giant Puffball)

This thing was the size of a small soccerball, I was so excited when I saw it!
Xeromphalina cauticinalis or Hygrocybe punicea or Nolanea quadrata ???

I love the colour on these guys, they were sort of sticky and left an orange stain on my thumb that was easily removed.

Your Trichaptum biforme looks more like Trametes versicolor and the last ones are Mycena leaiana

Hey man, fellow S.ont. (Born and raised, in BC now) shroomer here. Unfortunately the A.Muscaria in your area are of the Formosa variation (Large yellow-orange caps rather than mid sized red) and are VERY HIGH IN MUSCARINE! I have tried them on a few occasions (following proper preparation procedures of course) and had very unpleasant experiences my advice would be to admire rather than consume.
Good things you can expect to find in your area would be:
Autumn: CHANTERELLES (YUM YAY), Oysters, Boletes of various species, Agaricus of various species, Pan. Cinctulus aka Pan. subs, gymnopilus luteofolis (rare), Shaggy mane, Hericium, there are a few psilocybe species but they are very rare.
Spring: MORELS!!!!! Dryads sadle, oysters, p. cinctulus, Liberty Caps!!!
BEWARE DESTROYING ANGEL (Amanita Phaliods?) Deadly Poisonous, resemble edible Lepiota species (which I stay away from because of the deadly consiquences of misidentification) And are VERY COMMON in S.Ont.!!!
Cheers, Have fun out there and be safe

That giant puffball is a prime edible.
-------------------- "Shrub, 30-90 cm. Leaves 2.5-) 4-9 cm, sessile or amplexicaul, broadly ovate to ovate-oblong, obtuse or rounded to subapiculate or subacute, when crushed not smelling of goats." "The initial quake was a 6.6 but fairly shallow. I felt it as a prolonged up and down vibration followed by a jolt forward and then to the left, like square dancing."

yeah puffballs are ok. They're best when young, like softball size. Very rich in flavour. They're good fried in an egg batter...

I found some of the mushies you did too. Cool! Great finds mayn! I tried the giant puffball cooked in butter and its indeed tasty. I wouldnt eat it without anything else complimenting it. So I cut it into cubes and dried it to grind into a powder and add to soups etc. I also find a bunch of those Xerula species. they look really cool! Keep up the good work!

your welcome keep at it and your knowledge will grow as mine will soon too I do not know about the yellow-orange amanitas but Ive read many people have tried them. The experience is however different and individual to your own makeup I hear.
