Heating a grow room

Namaste, I am trying to set up a room in my basement for growing mushrooms (laundry basket tek) & I know how important both heat & humidity are, but I'm having an issue with consistent heating. I dont want to use too much electricity, but I think I might end up having to use a heater. If worse comes to worse I might just put the baskets in large rubbermade totes, but rather use the shelf I had in mind to utilise space. The space is about 8'L X 4'W X 6'H. How can I heat this area to optimal temp?

Great idea! It has a temp gauge, right? I hope so. Either way, I will be checking often enough to keep the room stable. With proper spraying things shouldn't get too dry I hope. I just pray they dont use too much electricity or my scumlord will flip. Are there shut off gauges that work for temp? That way the thing can get the heat up & shut off until it needs to heat things up again. I would hope they have something like that built in.

What are the regular temperatures where you live? You may not need to add any additional heat. Especially this time of year.
Also.
A WARM mist humidifier will provide both humidity and extra heat. I left one running in my grow room for a couple days straight the temperatures was noticeably 3 degrees C warmer than usual.
Too warm for my conditions actually. I returned it and bought a cool mist humidifier.

I have just never done a bulk grow before & I want it to be as perfect as possible. Besides, I take great pride in making my babies happy.

There's making your babies happy, and there's wasting energy on heating if they don't need it. Whats the temp of your grow area?

The oil filled heater and a nearly accurate wall thermometer is what I use in winter. Works great. Warmth, without dry air blowing.

Where I live temps can change drastically from moment to moment, but some insulation should help with a good heater.
