Quick Q about the damion coir bucket tek

So I've done the bucket tek before but instead of one brick with 2qts of verm with 5qts boiling water I did 2 voir bricks with 4 are verm and 10qts of water. But you see they are cooling VERY slowly. I have mixed them up once already and I don't wanna do it again for risk of air exposure (I like it clean). The temp of the first bucket I did 8hrs ago still is at 110F. I like to spawn between 80-90F.
My question is, will the substrate be ok to sit over nite and cool? Or is that too long and I'm risking contamination? Thank you Peace and love

I'm really surprised no ones answered yet...
I wanna try the same tek, but my advice would be to put the lid on and shake that som bitch. shuffling that stuff around, and all the movement should cool her down i would think, if not just quit messin with it and leave it overnight, if it has a nice shutting lid.... After you said you've been opening it just adds more risk of contam .....but maybe just wait tell tomoro
Do you have colonized spawn ready to go, could we get a peek of some pics when you get things figured out?
Like a week by week pic update?.. That would be cool
I may be wrong tho, this is moderately noob advice since no one else has answered. I saw this thread a few hours ago and i was just as curious as you, after reading your question.
Good luck mang

Thanks for the reply man! I just checked the temp and they are between 105F-120F. Imma let them cool over nite. I am aware that opening the lids does expose chance to contam. But I try to be as sterile as possible in my lab. Lysol and alcohol are my best friends hahahaha. I'm not gonna stir them up for the same reason of exposure. Ill see if I can do a grow log or something with pictures. Mushroom porn!

I've had good and bad luck with leaving buckets to cool overnight.
I'm not sure if it was just because I wasn't doing a proper pasteurization (as the bucket tek really isn't) or if it was because I was leaving it out overnight...
Either way I started getting a lot of mold

I colonize and fruit at the lower end of the temp range.(65 to 68 degrees) It slows things down a bit but I never have to battle contams
Oh and hello pete nice to see you
