This letter looks like it was written by a fairly well-articulated twelve-year-old.

Regardless, the tone of the letter is awful as fuck. And of course like all cowards it was sent anonymously.

It's funny. In skimming the title of this thread I was under the impression that this letter was wrote by an autistic boy towards his parents.
Then I reread everything and I'm still convinced the author was autistic as well.

I sympathize with the letter writer to some degree. However, the tone is insulting and inappropriate, and I really think it crossed the line.
BUT, I live next door to a family that has an autistic daughter and also decided to adopt an autistic little boy.
I truly feel sorry for the kid, but his parents are dicks. Their son has insane tantrums at all hours of the day. The way they calm him is to take him outside and let him smash his toy trucks into the concrete over and over and over for sometimes as long as 90 minutes. So, I have a screaming, tantrum throwing five year old right outside my window whose only way of coming down off a tantrum is to make the most terrible noise I can imagine for an hour.
I've asked them if they could take him in their backyard or find another way to calm him. They basically told me that autistics are close to god and truly divine, so whatever he does is a reflection of god. As an atheist, that's hardly a satisfying solution.
I really don't know what to do. Moving isn't an option for me right now. I'm very tolerant because I know his parents are idiots and he didn't choose to be autistic. But when it happens at 5AM three days in a row I feel stretched to my limit.
Even in my situation I would never send them the type of letter the OP posted. I'm just really hoping he grows out of this phase.

I feel sorry for the person who wrote the letter.
not because of the situation, but because they are angry and superficial.
She could've said the same exact thing in a much nicer way.

Punisher is pretty kick ass, but i don't have a wife that died... I could kill her to fit the description, but i don't think she'd like that
I was thinking I'd go for the Danny trejo look... He's a badass, just minus the Mexicanness.

By sympathy I mean I can personally understand the level of frustration they probably feel. Not everyone deals with these types of situations in a mature way, as the letter writer clearly does not.
I really don't appreciate the implication that being atheist means I am satanic. Where the hell would you get that idea? Maybe from your local bible-thumping preacher? Do you know what an atheist is? Guess what, just as much as I don't believe in god, I also don't believe in satan.
As someone who does not believe in the biblical god, getting an explanation from my neighbors that their son can do anything at anytime because he is connected to the divine does very little to relieve my frustration.
Are you biblically or morally righteous? Sounds like it. If you think someone insulted your hypothetically retarded son in a letter, what justification does that give you to physically assault them?
And what gives you the right to decide who is wicked and should be brutally murdered by your hand? OK, let me guess, your interpretation of the bible? You reek of vainglorious righteousness. Even more disturbing, you feel you have the right to impose whatever consequences, Charles Bronson style, you choose on anyone who offends your morality or commits the deadly sin of insulting you or someone in your family. You, personally, are one of the punks you mention wanting to eradicate. We don't need attitudes like yours if our society is ever going to escape this intense epidemic of violence we are currently experiencing.
