This. So fucking this. Any pussy can act hard behind a computer screen.
There was a story (legit too) that came out a few months back where some internet tough guy was tweeting threats to an amateur boxer, saying how the boxer was trash and that he'd fuck him up.
Well mr. amateur boxer got pissed enough to track him down. And then the boxer started tweeting mr. internet tough guy that he was on the way to his town (I think he lived like 2 hours away). He would stop and tweet pictures of how many miles he had left to go (you know, taking pics of the signs). Eventually he showed up on dude's doorstep. The boxer filmed it with his phone...as mr. internet pussy begged and pleaded with him to not beat his ass. The guy was in tears apologizing to him.
LAUGHING MY FUCKING ASS OFF
Link? Also reminds me of jay and silent bob
Okay so my ending wasn't quite accurate, lmao. But I swear, that's how it was told to me by a friend
Here's the link and story.

Boxer combats cyberbullying by tracking down his Twitter bully
Boxer Curtis Woodhouse lived out the private fantasy of countless athletes on Monday, forcing a confrontational Twitter tormentor to back down by turning up at his house.
Woodhouse, a former professional soccer player in his native United Kingdom, snapped upon receiving a series of taunting tweets from a user named "The Master" after losing his English lightweight title to Shayne Singleton in a controversial bout last weekend.
"Whats funny u put so much effort in, sacrificed all that time and failed to defend your Mickey Mouse title," was one of the more palatable messages from the @jimmyob88 handle, part of a stream of rants laced with offensive language.
Curtis Woodhouse tweeted this photo of the road where his cyberbully lives.
Yet the keyboard warrior soon had the wind taken out of his sails when Woodhouse apparently tracked down the user's address and drove to his street, believed to be in Sheffield in the northern English county of Yorkshire.
Upon his arrival, Woodhouse tweeted a photograph of the street sign, stating: "Right Jimbob, I'm here! Someone tell me what number he lives at, or do I have to knock on every door."
At that point the clearly (and understandably) flustered Twitter "troll" decided discretion was the better part of valor, and hastily retreated into a neutral corner of cyberspace, offering a series of apologetic messages and insisting his taunts were merely intended in jest.
Woodhouse took his leave and it is understood that the pair never met face to face, but by the time the fighter had returned home his actions had gone viral on the Internet.
The extraordinary exchange prompted a flood of social media attention for the 32-year-old, who turned his back on soccer at the age of 26 after becoming disillusioned with the sport, despite earning a significantly higher salary than he subsequently managed in boxing.
Former world champion boxer Ricky Hatton messaged Woodhouse to voice his amusement, as did notorious English soccer player Joey Barton, who now plays for Marseille in France. Barton, who has routinely become involved in Twitter arguments in the past, went so far as to describe Woodhouse as "my hero."
Followers even likened his vigilante approach to that of actor Liam Neeson in the somewhat painful "Taken" movies that remarkably avoided the Oscars radar.
Ever since Twitter became part of the culture of modern sports, athletes have lamented their susceptibility to unfettered abuse, with pro tennis player Rebecca Marino citing cyberbullying as a major reason behind her retirement at the age of 22.
Woodhouse took a more confrontational approach that might not be to everyone's taste, though given his antagonist's trembling reaction it seems unlikely that he will be troubled by the same source again. On a personal note, this is not only one of the more unusual stories I have written, but also one of the most surprising. I dealt with Woodhouse on several occasions during his soccer career and he always came across as being especially mild-mannered, to the extent that it was a major surprise when his change of career became known.
But it goes to show that everyone has their limit – and that a professional fighter might not be the most sensible target for aspiring Twitter tormentors.

As reprehensible as the letter is, I find it far more offensive and vile that the Canadian cops are trying to find some crime with which they can charge the letter writer.
Canadians have zero concept of freedom of speech, and I'm thankful that I don't live there.

Really? Someone can send people as many anonymous "your kids should be killed and harvested for organs" letters as they want and there's no law they would be breaking?

Thank you for the clarification. I only knew of the devil as described in the bible and at christian churches, not something some guy wrote fairly recently, although the bible was written by man too... ug. Is it no wonder why I don't belive in christianity...? I wish if god was real he'd come down and slap me around a bit and tell me he's real. I guess that's what deaths for though. Lol. Thanks for the clarification anyway. Ill make sure to worship SOMETHING so I'm not a satanist.

Only if they sent enough letters to rise to the level of "extreme and outrageous" conduct. It'd take a lot of letters sent in a very short period of time. For instance, if someone sent a few thousand letters a day, that would probably be enough to constitute civil harassment. It still wouldn't be a crime, however.

Are you saying that the threshold for criminal harassment can't be met anywhere in the Unites States just by sending letters?

Of course not. I never said as much. If you send threats to people by letters, that can be a crime. Or if you send a letter containing anthrax spores, that's a crime.
Sending rude, insensitive, and hateful letters, however...nah...That's not a crime anywhere in the country.

Interesting, thanks. I should have clarified by saying I was talking about letters that did not make explicit threats.
I guess it could be argued that the letter in question counseled the recipient to commit a crime, but maybe that is a stretch.

So much of a stretch that it would evidence a desire to try to find a way to punish someone for expressing an unpopular opinion....pretty much exactly what the Canadian cops are doing.

As far as I know, not yet. According to CNN.com:
"Durham Regional Police said the incident is being investigated, and police have asked the Crown Attorney's Office whether the letter constitutes a crime."

Yeah, sounds like some nasty Facebook bully who gets off on making people feel like shit and using the less fortunate as a kicking bag. Clearly the Nazi spirit is alive and well in some form. IMO the most appropriate outcome is probably for the anonymous writer to be publicly identified and shamed and go no further than that unless they keep doing this stuff. If those comments had instead been directed to a child in person, IMO that should merit child abuse charges.
Oshawa is kind of a trashy town generally, sort of a mini Detroit going down with a failing auto industry.
