Austraillia? Isn't that the country between whackistan and somaliland which just got recognized as a country? I didn't know austrailliians had internet... That's a joke.
But yeah, as an american, I don't follow non-american politics. Eh, politics in general are such a mess, I don't know why I bother caring about any of them, even domestic. Not like I can make a difference...

Every time I see something about Australian politics it's fucked. I mean, America is pretty fucked but at least we can play fucking violent video games or whatever. Everything I read is some nanny government control bullshit. I feel bad for you guys. At least you have the coolest reptiles in the world.

I have limited experience with Australian Politics. IMO, AUS should seriously rethink its policy with foreign investors, especially from China. Chinese investors are buying up Major Industries, Farms, Mines, Dairies, and Real Estate at record rates to be directly funneled out of AUS. AUS will be at risk in the future to loosing its own resources and commodities. In addition, will have more political pressure from foreign governments.
This is similar to how the USA is currently being sold out and sold off because of unbalanced trade and US Debt. Our politicians waste so much time on minor issues like weed and gay marriage. Meanwhile, the wealthy Chinese (aka Their Gov't) are/is taking full advantage of the down economy. They're buying up the USA in record numbers. 70% of home purchases in CA are now to mainland Chinese. AUS is similar to US Politics where the government no longer representing the people, but instead the corporations.
