Grow bag to tub question.......
    #18728015 - 08/19/13 02:53 PM (10 years, 5 months ago)

So I have one of these http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss/178-5449016-0639133?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=brf%20grow%20bag

and The substrate block just under went its first harvest but it was a pain in the ass getting to the shrooms especially the side ones so what I want to do is take the block out of the bag and put it in a small tun that I will mist and burp three times a day after a 24 hour dunk to refresh it.

Does this sound like a more efficient way also I am planning on putting paper towel at the bottom and yes I know perlite is suggested but I am low on money and will that still work?

Plus another reason why I am doing this is for the added surface area I will have.

No do not use paper it will cause a lot of problems for you.  I am currently going a grow bag with 1 qt B+ rye grain in a SGFC.  I believe this is the best way to go about it being it helps it breathe and somewhat mimics the bag.  I would suggest a piece of tinfoil folded in half to make it 2x thick then put three holes down the middle with a pen add vermiculite and set it on there.  Check out my posts.  I prefer to get one harvest in the bag then subsequent dunks and SGFC after that.:bananadance:
