Humidifier??
    #1872591 - 09/01/03 11:16 PM (13 years, 7 months ago)

Hey Guys,
My friend has some questions for you all. She wants to use a humidifier mainly for air exchange for two 18 gal rubbermaids and just wants to know 1.if this is more trouble than it's worth, as far as contamination goes? 2.Is fanning a less contam prone method? She is fairly new to growing by the way. Also she didn't quite understand the instructions on hooking the humidifier up to the terrarium. I know I need to tape up the top fan output and cut holes in the sides with hoses running from it to the terrarium. 3.What about the input air vent where air is drawn in, just have a filter and leave it alone? 4.Also where exactly should the holes be in the humidifier for 2 terr.? 5.And where should the holes be placed on the terr, top or bottom of the side of the terr? Any advice you could give would be wonderful.

Fanning is MUCH more contam prone and MUCH less effective. A cool mist humidifer hooked up to the 18 gallons is the best way of air exchange and humidification there is. Try reading the teks here on the website, all the information is on there it just takes a little looking.
