Mushbag stalled spot...

So I have a bag of compost I PCed then added some grain spawn/sealed...it has grown but has been stalled in the bottom section for at least a week. I flipped it over and on its side in case of too much moisture (idk if that would really help) but still nothing). I think Ill just fruit it, but anyone have an opinion as to what may be the culprit? Also I guess I should cut out the uncolonized part before placing in the fruiting chamber?

That thing has some serious bacterial problems.
I don't think you'll be getting fruits from that

Yeah, that compost should have been pasteurized rather than sterilized. Sorry, man.

In addition to pasteurizing instead of sterilizing you might also want to check your moisture content on future grows, I'm guessing the bottom got waterlogged which made it hard for the mycilium to colonize and likewise encouraged the bacterial growth, this has been my experience at least.

Squeeze it until nothing comes out. If you need to make little palm sized balls even and squeeze them.

So I did end up fruiting it after trying my best to cut out the bad parts and got some enormous mushrooms! Got contaminated by green mold after first flush but I had a lot of that going on-just some aquariums in my room, not a surprise

Glad it was not a waste. Some people don't like to risk massive trich monsters jizzing all over your grow space and hence will not try to fruit something like that, but at least you got some fruits.
Now you need to get your shit together and get some contam free rewards
