The first pic is Lost in Translation. I love that film, I would also love to spend a couple of months laying around Tokyo, that's like a dream vacation.
And naw, Scarlet Johanson and her friend go out riding their horses on an icy road somewhere in the northeast, tractor trailer loses control. friend and her horse dies, scarlet johanson becomes an amputee and her horse turns into a traumatized vicious scary monster that no one can control. So her mom takes her to see Robert Redford out west and everyone bonds and shit.

Ahh okay, I have not seen it, it does look pretty interesting though. Tokyo does sound pretty great.
Huh I swear I saw a movie called the Horse Whisperer with a completely different plot. That sounds terribly depressing though The beginning anyway.
Speaking of Robert Redford though....

Paul Newman and Robert Redford, one of the best movie duos ever!

I troll Really though Citizen kane Chaplin's modern times The shining(kubrick) Jurassic park 1 Requiem for a dream And the rest will come to me later
You almost gave me a heart attack. I'll be honest I've never really been a fan of Citizen Kane, I mean I see how it was a revolutionary film for its time and all, but god damn is it a snore fest for me.
A little side note. I find it really funny how Justin Lin (director of the Fast and the Furious Movies) went to like 3 different film schools and has a bunch of film degrees, and then you have directors like kubrick and tarantino who barely finished High School
I really don't get why citizen kane is such a great movie to me. I had to watch it for a class and we had to write about our favorite movie we watched in the class. I just went with citizen kane and pretty much repeated reasons other critics liked it and slowly started to agree with them. After i wrote that out though for some reason the movie just stuck in my head and i realized if a movie sticks in your head for more than a week it's probably safe to say you like it. I've watched that and modern times at least 3 times since i took the course over a year ago. Buster keaton's the general is also good, but i fall asleep watching it and im to ocd about whether or not i'm watching the one with the original soundtrack to fully enjoy it.
Jesus i feel like a teachers pet just for enjoying all those old ass classic movies so much but fuck it.
And on a side note it's a sad day when you can't find a copy of citizen kane in any wal-mart or video store around.:smh:
That's funny I had to watch it for a class as well. Bored me half to death, like I said though, I can see how it would be at the top of the list for some people.
Funny story about that same class actually. Later in the year we had a class vote on what movie to watch next. We got to watch all our movies in the preforming arts auditorium on this huge ass screen. The two choices were Star Wars (don't remember which episode) and 2001. Of course everyone in the class wanted to watch star wars (this is high school mind you) so I pretty much get in front of the class and spend like a good half hour trying to convince them to watch Space Odyssey. I lost of course. Fucking sucked, me and my buddy were planning on taking a bit of acid and getting to watch it on the big screen. I'm still pretty butthurt about that.

On a scale of 1-10 how accurate is Trainspotting as far as portraying the lifestyle of a hardcore heroin user? I've always been pretty curious seeing as I've never been around the Heroin scene.
I love this scene...

I have not! I must look into it. I love surrealism in general, in any medium.
I still have been searching for this film I saw a couple years ago that was surrealist-horror. It was a Spanish film about dreams, I don't remember much, just that it was a good film, or at the very least interesting. Drives me nuts.

Thanks, I don't mean to just toss in gang tapes, but Gomorrah by Martin Scorsese/ and City of God are easily interchangeable.
Rock N' Rolla's the Rastafari movie is good too, a feel good movie.
I'm definitely going to go see Sunshine next.

Those early Guy Ritchie Gangster films hold a special place in my heart. They more or less got me into Quentin Tarantino, since their styles are sort of similar, and once I got into Tarantino I started looking at Movies on a whole different level.
