People who advertise their drug use via social media
    #18723629 - 08/18/13 04:31 PM (10 years, 5 months ago)

Any of you guys know people who do this? I know multiple people who do, or I guess I don't really "know them" but we are friends in the Facebook sense.

I was scrolling through my Facebook news feed and this kid I am friends with post a status about going on a road trip tomorrow, he then proceeds to have a conversation with two of his friends about what sort of drugs to bring and all manner of other nefarious activities in the comments section for all to see.

Many a facepalms were had on my part.

I should also mention his profile picture is of him with a blunt in one hand and a fat stack of dollar bills in the other.

I'm also friends with this other kid who has albums full of him snorting, shooting, smoking various unknown substances.

I'm really trying to wrap my head around what compels people to do things like this, especially in our current super surveillance society.

You'd be surprised how little the law cares about smalltimers in many areas.

As long as he isn't selling drugs openly on facebook I don't see it being a problem. To get busted he would have to actually sell drugs to an undercover.

Well I visit this facebook of a shroom growing supplies vendor a lot because they have lots of cool contests and funny comics. I actually did not know everybody could see this.
Until this very evening my mom told me to finally grow up and act like an adult (I am 31) and stop this whole mushroom thing  :facepalm3:

True true...I doubt they give a shit. That being said I still think it is incredibly stupid considering most employers these days check facebook.

And to ad to that I have actually seen people conduct drug deals on facebook, like in the news feed, nothing major, still retarded though.

I know a kid who does stupid shit like this.
The other day he was trying sell Xanax on Facebook by saying "Come get some footballs and make a REAL touchdown."
I responded by making my own status that says, "If you try to sell drugs on Facebook, you're fucking gay."

Even though as someone pointed out that law enforcement doesn't care much about small time drug use on FB, I delete any people that mention how high they are on a certain drug or asking if anyone knows where to get something. I rather not even be associated with someone that thinks that's acceptable.

I personally find it ridiculous that anyone would advertise their drug use on any social media network. I only have an account still for my business and to keep in contact with family that lives thousands of miles away.

Publishing your drug use on an extremely popular social media such as facebook is like tattooing a big "Fuck you" on your forehead. Only consequences can come out of it.

Half idiots do it on an anonymous, none mainstream forum like this one.

Smart people don't post anything of it online

Geniuses don't do drugs in the first place.

There have actually been some rather genius people who do drugs. They wouldn't advertise it on facebook though.

What i want to know is who is selling to these dumbasses? I mean if i sold drugs to someone who announced their fresh stock day, i sure as shit wouldn't be meeting up with you anymore.

Suppliers who are almost as stupid, but not quite down to the level of the small time Facebook drug peddler. Maybe somebody who is smart enough to not advertise drugs on facebook, but stupid enough to sell them through craigslist or something.

Hell if I know, but most likely the dealers selling to these people aren't FB friends with those customers.

I posted plenty pictures of weed and bho on instagram, but then again weed is legal and I have a medical card, so I doubt anything is gonna happen.

I wouldn't ever post any REAL drugs on there... I still doubt I would get busted if I posted a picture of a cubensis, but I draw the line there.

I wouldn't ever even post weed on facebook, though, too many people are on there and they have way too much of your personal info. I don't have a facebook, anyhow.
