Dope chaga! Your Honeys look like ostoyae to me. If you get and ID for that big Lyophyllum thing, let me know- I've got a similar obs that I can't get to genus.
Oh btw, Why the fuck aren't you on mushroomobserver?

Whooooaaa, what is that next to last pic on birch. Is that the underside? Did you harvest a whole log and haul it home, looks like it's on your porch? ;-)
-------------------- "Shrub, 30-90 cm. Leaves 2.5-) 4-9 cm, sessile or amplexicaul, broadly ovate to ovate-oblong, obtuse or rounded to subapiculate or subacute, when crushed not smelling of goats." "The initial quake was a 6.6 but fairly shallow. I felt it as a prolonged up and down vibration followed by a jolt forward and then to the left, like square dancing."

I think it's a Lenzites, perhaps betulina.
It was a birch branch on the ground. I photo'd it and showed it to somebody and placed it back in the woods.

Well, it certainly looks like it would be called "birch mazegill", but I see kuo's photos do not have the same underside... His have pretty regular looking gills. Gilled polypore, strange, but not a match.
Howabout Daedaleopsis confragosa? Since there's no top pic, I can't go any further. ;-)

The first one looks like Hemistropharia albocrenulata, and the sixth mushroom down... an odd woodland Conocybe sp?

Yeh, that looks like the Daedaleopsis confragosa, from what I remember of the pics, too lazy to go back at the moment.
Those Piptoporus betulinus are very attractive, wish I'd find some in my 'hood, but birch seem to be rare here, have to settle for alder and that's no fun 'cuz it's in swamp.
I'm so proud of myself that I took one look at that birch and pulled that name outa my addled head. I keep stuffing it full of factoids and it's quite gratifying when I can pull one out intact.
Thanks, Rog!

We defer to the TIs...
Yeh, I noticed the cooler and the plastic box. A cooler can really help if it's hot but you have to watch it 'cuz they don't breathe...
More than one hardsided container for mushrooms means you care. LOL.

I'm not too sure about it, you are likely right.
As for the other Hemistropharia, thanks winters! I've found a few a little more mature and I had wondered what they were.
These Protostropharia/Coprinoid started growing in a garage!!!
Funny story. I collected a few totes of horse manure to make compost tea for my garden. I placed said totes in a garage so they would be stay dry. It just so happened that the gargage had leaks in the roof! The leaks went right into my tote!! The manure soaked up all the water from recent rains, and out sprung the some healthy mushroms.

Too funny. I hear these things are worth a lot on the prairies......

Nah, due to the bumps on the hymenophore. Looks a bit like Elaphocordyceps, however that species has a smooth hymenophore. I would post those pics on mushroomobserver.org and if no one gives you a good answer, track down the cordyceps kid.
