I was thinking of growing Kratom, too. Is it as difficult as Salvia? Does it also need humidity domes, specific temperatures, etc?

They like lots of light and lots of water. Just make sure that the soil drains and doesn't get waterlogged as it will cause root rot.

Would a mix of 2/3 potting soil and 1/3 perlite make for a good, well-draining mix for kratom?

That would be an ideal mix for kratom.

They are heavy feeders. Feed sparingly doesnot apply with them. Less is more does not apply with them.
They can take a lot of fertilizincc.
Take it from An avid grower.

Thanks. I suppose I will be using ordinary potting soil and perlite in that ratio. I don't even have to run to the store

Any fertilizer in specific? Also, could you provide me with a ball park figure on how much fertilizer you use per week, so I can get a gauge on how much is desired for kratom?
Also, good luck with your new plant Malicom.

It is easy to grow and you don't need humidity domes etc. I hardened off mine and it grows well in a Mediterranean climate.

They take a lot of it. balanced fertilizer is better.

Thanks, I think I am going to pick up some organic seaweed fertilizer because it doesn't smell too bad. Hopefully that works okay with kratom. Thanks.

Oh nice. I was looking for a specific type of fertilizer that kratom likes, but there isn't much info on the web. Everyone just says go organic.
Have you used worm tea in the past? I am looking for a liquid fertilizer that doesn't smell too bad, since this is going to be in my house.
Thanks.

I used alaska fish emulsion with mine. Seem to help with the nit ro deficiency. Try that if you cam find. Btw, it really stinks.
