Are these seedlings variegated/albino?

So I was just outside checking on things and took a peek inside the seedling box and found these 2 strange guys, one looks almost completely white while the other has a little green then goes to all white. Are they variegated or albino? Should I graft the all white one onto a pereskiopsis to keep it alive?

Thanks!

graft it, it might be albino and lacking chlorophyll.

That was my first thought too. The one on the left is green at the base which seems consistent with that theory.

That may have been it, the container was partially in the sun...
I thought seedlings turned red/purple when they had too much light?
Also, how long does it take for them to turn green again if I move them out of sun?
Thanks!

yea initially too much sun will cause funny colors, and then they bleach out. my gardening experience pertains to other plants mostly, i am a cacti n00b tho...

White coloration can be indicative of very severe sun damage. If that is what happened, my guess is that the totally white one is dead already and the other one may not survive either.

Good to know, I will watch my seedlings more closely from now on. These were some I was attempting to grow outside only and had been doing alright so far

How long will it take for a sun bleached cactus to die? After moving them out of somewhat direct sunlight they are doing okay but neither of them look 'bad' at all.

If they're not becoming transparent and dying, they are indeed oddballs. Graft those suckers if they're still alive.

I think they're variegated. Usually sunburnt seedlings go a bit orange-y red don't they?

Both are unfortunately dead, the smallest all white one was a small puddle of skin and a little goo last I checked it and then the other half white one was basically a little water balloon and popped when I gave it a squeeze. So it must have indeed been sun damage Will give my seedlings more attention from now on...
Thanks for all the responses/help!
