Hello all. Like the title says this is going to be my second batch but the first time I've made substrate. I know the basic which in verm and BRF and sterilize but i wanted to add gypsum or i have also done research and it seems that hemp flower may be nice to add to my jars. They are high in nutrients that mushrooms love (i believe). When i say use Hemp flower i mean add a little to help my mycelium spread and mushrooms fruit faster. Essentially my question is should i use gypsum in a BRF and Verm Jar Tek? If so how much? Also has anyone ever heard of anyone using Hemp Flower? If so how much should i add? I have all the lets grow mushrooms videos so i know the process just curious on a few things they don't specify in plus my own ideas i was hoping to implicate. Also in my batch growing now i have had 3 cakes get green mold on the second flush (I did dunk didn't roll) Any idea why this is and how to fix it? Every time i open my Fruiting chamber the lid dumps water all over due to high humidity. Thank you in advance. Ill b monitoring this all morning and im hoping to get responses soon because i plan on starting today. Thank you

You have a lot of things to learn.. There is no need to add anything to the BRF mixture... BRF already has more than enough nutrients for the myc and the other stuff will just add another layer for contam... As soon as you get green mold you need to throw the cakes away asap. Take a paper towel and wipe off excess water from the top of your tub. You shouldnt keep getting water droplets once they go away. You might be misting too much.

If you have a yard, bury the contaminated cakes just under the top soil..right in the lawn doesn't matter..better if it's a spot that doesn't get mowed.

why would I bury the cakes? It won't decontaminate them?

They are already contaminated with trich (Green mold) Thus you need to remove them from your house IMMEDIATELY or you run the risk of contaminate the rest of your grow. When you bury them outside you may still be able to get a few fruits to grow in the yard without messing up any other operations you have in progress within your household.
