Anyone tripped while having a period of DP/DR? What dose did you take? How did it turn out? I've seen somewhere that it cured their DP/DR, i don't know.

(Self-opinionated diagnosis) I had depersonalization/ derealization disorder along with HPPD in high school when I would go on Ecstasy binges and parties...felt like drug induced psychosis.
Went to college, got shrooms inside me, and I can't remember how I felt before...
I remember just...like I couldn't stop staring..., Didnt want to move. Felt like nothing was real anymore. I felt real fuzzy about myself too....nothing made me feel like myself.
Now I love life...only thing is that I'm SOOOOOO sleep deprived. It makes me cranky sometimes. Psychedelics made me put my mind into perspective..life can only be as big as you want it to be.
That was the ultimate moment in controlling instant gratification. And understanding how to be r responsible to my body. The positive feelings eventually ensued after this acknowledgement

Hi! Thanks for the post but do you mean you felt normal after taking shrooms?

I once tried taking shrooms during a bout of derealization to see if it would 'cure' it. It didn't work; the same feelings of dp/dr you have will still be there while tripping.

try it and see. My Theory (only a theory!): If your condition is neurological then psychedelics could worsen your condition or cause unexpected effects apart from the norm. If you take shrooms and are suddenly cured, which is entirely possible and happens *all the time* then it is more likely that your mind is perfectly healthy and your condition is the result of environmental factors (i.e. self-imposed isolation leading to depression, stagnation and a sedentary lifestyle, losing touch with friends and loved ones resulting in depersonalization, inner turmoil brought about by lack of contact with the outside world, feeling stuck in life with no way forward, etc...) which are put into perspective by the psychedelic experience. It is an overwhelmingly liberating feeling.

It's not that I felt normal, it's that the experience changed my view on how I felt.
Since my first shroom trip, I tripped almost every week for about a year. I guess it may have contributed to my health, but I really wanted to get better so I basically changed ,y life from that point.
Back then, I ignorantly misused drugs. Wasn't aware of what tolerance was. Shrooms made me realize what it TOLERANCE IS. I then learned to respect my body.
Before shrooms...I didn't care what Neurotransmitters ecstasy activates, or how to UNDERSTAND my drug use.
Shrooms have made me quite a provocative person I have a curiosity again.
Before...man..it was just blankness...no purpose..didn't know what I was gonna do with my life, etc.
I took those questions by the horns on very deep psychedelic trips. Haven't tripped in more than a month though

Interesting! It sounds to me like you've gone through exactly what I described, but you persist in your condition (just with a different outlook). That blanked out feeling, yeah, that goes away. Thoughts are provoking again. I know exactly what you mean. Perhaps dpd has no relation with tripping. Hmmmm theory needs some work...

What would be a good dose for me do you think? I've done 2 grams and it was lovely but very mindfucking.

Depends on the species. Do you know what you normally get? Sounds like you've got enough trips under your belt to make a judgement call on that one. Go with your gut.

I believe I may have depersonalization I was never diagnosed but I scored very high for it on psych test. I don't let it deter me from tripping. Mushrooms, dmt, and LSD have helped me in profound ways they me aloud to feel more real, connected, and empathetic. Dirty psychs such as nbomes and DOx's, made my condition a whole lot worse.

does this curing of dp using shrooms require a large dosage? i havent experienced anything stronger than a level 3 and i still have dp... had it for 5 years now...

I somehow got sucked into it through drugs, sex, dubstep... I dont limit genres I listen to everything..., getting off on the finest luxuries of life and astral delights... I've laid off drugs for a week now, but my self is so out there that its floating around getting in people's heads, terrorizing them and its out of my control.... People just keep making it real for me, I've ran into a bakers dozen worth, so far... The light became real for me and ive been Adenoneyes... from the astral realm, Am I stuck in a dream state?
My eyes are playing tricks on me, how can I tell what is real and what is not.. When it's all reality tunnels based off my paranoias?
I'm starting to pick up a lot of stares and looks in public,, I tried going to a frat party a little stoned and everyone was talking loud bout how my self is getting in there heads.. HIVE mind crossed over into the stoned dreamlike state.... Starting to cross into sober reality...
All I fuck with is gateway drugs as in they open up gates...
Yep.. That's how that ride ended up.. I don't think I laid off experimenting with whatever I could get my hands on since then.. Tripping multiple times a month.. I had a large variety..
25i, 25c, 2cb, 2cc, psylocibin, dmt, 4-aco-dmt, 4-ho-mipt, LSD, MDMA, mda, mXE, some poly drug use...
Had a schizoid breakdown resulting from 1 person making it real for me, then 3 people in a room at once doing it, then I go to a couple house parties and pretty much everyone in the room can hear me thinking,, and they are letting it be known... Strange shit.. D.r.u.g.s....

lol. On a bad acid trip(took 3 tabs after sustained abstienence), I would think people were criticizing me. I would walk around and would hear, "why is that person walking funny? Is he tripping?" strange shizzle...

Yeah it was weird having my thoughts merge with the physical world and for every ear to listen to.
Couldn't seperate reality from fantasy but because I was experiencing it I assumed it was real
