Found some HUGE boletes today while on the job. Didnt get a pic of the whole ring of em, but heres a few. Also, if anyone wants to take a shot at the last 2 have at it. I was just curious about em. You can see where I poked the bolete, the green reaction. These were 10-11" across. Exactly what type of bolete are these?

On the boletes, we need to know a few more things. When you scratch the tube surface, does it change color within 30 seconds? If you look closely at the stalk, are there raised ridges resembling a very find net on the surface?
As far as the other mushroom(s), we need to start with a spore print if you want an ID.
Happy mushrooming!

yeah, that happens to people. since i started hunting mushrooms i find myself always looking at the grass/mulch/etc looking for mushrooms without meaning to.

I do the same thing.... always looking out the window of the car... I hate to admit it but I sometimes do it while driving as well.... Bad habit... don't want to rear end anyone...
When I find something of interest I turn it right around.. I must look mad to many people... getting on the ground snapping pictures of nothing obvious,, just mulch or grass or whatever... Oh well maybe I am.....????? LOL... But at any rate I like it... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't know precisely what species of boletes those are, but there are a few edibles that match the description and photos pretty closely. However, as I said, I'm not sure about the species, so you may very well be right.

Going primarily on the basis of size and bluing, the best match I get is Boletus miniato-pallescens, which is of unknown edibility. It's very closely related to species which are poisonous, so it should be treated as though it's poisonous.

I found some very very huge boletes in my back yard a while back there were 3 of them one was at least 6 inches or more across, they had a redish tint to them, and kinda greenish on the bottom like the ones above.. i was going to scan them but they dried out lol.. Those were the last shrooms I have seen, but its almost weilii time.. after some research!
