How do you prepare YOUR coffee? Official Thread 4 Java Heads

I like strong black coffee with extra cream, two packs of sugar. Nothing to fancy ( or expensive) but it gets the job done on mornings like today when I need boost.

Black coffee or espresso with no cream, no sugar.
Edit: I don't prepare my own espresso I just like it.

I generally use either my espresso machine- the La Spaziale Vivaldi

or an AeroPress with a stainless steel filter.

My espresso machine, not to brag, is fucking awesome, and I can make beautiful lattes with it. The AeroPress makes a more traditional cup o' joe, is more convenient and doesn't need a specifically fine grind like the espresso machine. So if I have whole beans, I'll grind them up in my cheap coffee grinder and make a cup of AeroPress, and if they're pre-ground to espresso fineness I'll generally make lattes (though it'll still work in the AeroPress, which is preferable if I have no milk and want to sip on something).

That seems like way too much work for a cup of coffee. Usually when I need coffee I'm half asleep so doing all that is out of the question, I bet it's great coffee though.

Lately I've been missing the simplicity of some good old-fashioned drip coffee. Can't beat the classics. I like my coffee like I like my women: black and strong.
I'm actually procrastinating on my coffee right now because either of the methods available to me would involve a lot of scooping, tamping, pressing, etc. and I'm fucking lazy. And I have a headache.

Oh dear. These things make insanely potent coffee. I always make a cup and think it seems too small, then I drink the whole thing and get visuals.

I start by giving the salesman/woman at the kiosk two fiddy and then I pour sum coffee, add two packs of sugar, lil milk&cream and voila!
I really don't drink too much of coffee, I don't even own a coffeemaker

I like to prepare it for other people. I will ask them if they would want me to prepare their coffee for them, I get kicks off helping people prepare their coffee. I will add 2 teaspoons of milk/sugar and serve it up. They will usually grant me a favor the next time I see them, and because of this favor I become pleased that I prepared coffee for someone.

Sounds like it's time to buy a decent drip machine, a grinder and some beans.

I don't really like coffee much but if it's up to me it's heavy Splenda and hemp milk, if not that then almond milk, if not that then soy milk, if not that then non-dairy creamer, if not that then dairy creamer, if not that then skim milk, if not that then 1% milk, if not that then 2% milk, if not that then whole milk, if not that then half & half, and if not that then cream.

Try coconut milk creamer, it's better than all that.

I've bought a couple from thrift stores but you have to make sure the seals are still good, the rubber disintegrates after a certain amount of time. A housewares store or department store with a big kitchen section would have them too probably. The coffee they make is basically the same as espresso but I don't think it meets the technical definition for some reason. Maybe the pressure is not high enough to qualify.

If your a bit more sensitive to caffiene you might only need a 6 cup pot.

Yeah I always see it called stovetop espresso, it's just about as strong IMO

I do ~a half inch of sugar, enough cream to cover said sugar. I have one of those Keurig things too but I don't use the cups too much $$$$. If I cared more I'd get a french press or something but eh, just doesn't happen.

i like lots of coffee
my favourite sweetener is maple syurp
sometime i might add vinila
sometimes i might add cinnamon
on a really hot day i coldbrew it 12 hours befor i wake up
i add 1 to 1-1/2 cups coffee to a litre of water
let sit 12 hours
its super strong so i add more milk than coffee to dilute it add maple syrup and ice
