Eco earth is good. I'm surprised you can't find it at your pet store, it should be by the reptile supplies.

This is what I get. Not sure what price for you would be. But being a prime amazon member I get it for 13.95. I can't imagine it being much more otherwise. I searched around a while back and either was recommended this or stumbled upon myself. I can't remember but so far best deal I've found to date. http://www.amazon.com/Compressed-Fiber-Growing-Medium-Block/dp/B003MOD2HY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1376762696&sr=8-1&keywords=Compressed+coco+fiber+growing+medium

Hey! has anyone ever tried this CocoNot? I usually use coco coir and verm to case with good results but was thinking about trying this natural CocoNOt here is some info about it let me know what you think?
33/66
Mix 1 bag of VermiBlend (1 cu ft) to 1 bag of CocoNot (2 cu ft) to create 33% VermiBlend, 66% CocoNot mixture. Water as necessary dependent on environmental conditions. Analysis 1-0.1-0.9 Total Nitrogen (N) 1% 0.431% Ammoniacal Nitrogen 0.24% Nitrate Nitrogen 0.319% Water Soluble Nitrogen 0.01% Water Insoluble NItrogen Available Phosphate (P2O2) 0.1% Soluble Potash (K2O) 0.9%
Might be better for Mary than shrooms but thought I would get a opinion before trying it.

Haven't seen this before. Made from redwood and fibers of Kapok fruit. No idea if it would work.
I can't believe your local hydro or pet shops don't have coco. Coco is huge in the hydroponics scene. And petsmart, petco, or any major pet store would have coco bricks in the reptiles section. It isn't rare by any means.
Lots of hydro store coco is inoculated with trich, but I've seen it used quite often with no issues. But I suppose it would be best to avoid it if possible.

Look on Amazon. You can get 3-packs of Eco Earth bricks for $4. I usually buy 60 bricks at a time for $76.

That's what I use too. Cant beat 11 lbs for $14. From one pack Ive already got five 66qt monotubs 3" deep using 80% coir and still have enough to do at least two more. Would have even more left but threw some outside to try and start a mini outdoor patch. If anyone can find a better deal please let me know!

This is the only thing I can find that comes close to what you're talking about, but its almost $10 after shipping and not Prime eligible. These 3 packs are less than 4 lbs of coir too. This is a MUCH better deal.

That is not a better deal.
60 bricks is 49,000 grams, at 650 grams per brick. I can get this for $76.40 with free shipping.
The big brick, to get ~49,900 grams would cost $ or so.
The bricks are also pre-measured, so no bullshit trying to chip it off the big brick.

11 lbs for $13 > 5 lbs for $10. Who cares if its premeasured, buying the big brick you're getting a LOT more for your $.
Link to where you're getting 60 650 gram bricks for $76.40 shipped?

Nice. If 60 bricks is 650 grams/brick, that's 39000 grams or 86 lbs. 86 lbs for $76.40 shipped is better than 11 lbs for $13 shipped...but most people arent going to need 86 lbs of coir. For the average person 11 lbs/$13 is the best deal on Amazon that I can find.

Maybe not all at once, but it can be a lifetime supply for some, for $75.

It would take 3 of those Eco Earth 3 packs to equal one big block of Kempf...Kempf = $14, three 3 pks of Eco Earth = $17.45...guess its really not THAT much cheaper and it would be easier to use the Eco Earth since they're split into thirds. Guess I'll concede this debate...OP go with the Eco Earth

Depends on your needs. I tend to need a lot of coir.

Eco Earth is great! I worked with it last night and had no idea I would love the way it smells so much. It's a real earthy yet unique smell

Looks like the Kempf is the best deal now, and it dropped in price a couple bucks too.
