Hi again, are these contams?

This is the first jar, I'm pretty positive it's a gonner

Second jar is even uglier then the first =)
I have 20 jars total right now, most of them see fine but a couple are growing veeeerry slowly, like the first set of 10 i did are 29 days old and 2 of the jars have only colonized like 20% of the jar, while others are at like 85%. Are those slow growing ones messed up somehow and should i toss them to?
Any help would be appreciated thanks mushroom bros

It's hard to tell with your pics. Give it a nice good sniff at the lid. If you smell ANYTHING! Other than brown rice flour or fresh mushrooms it's a goner.
It might smell sweet, fruity, Shitty, mealy, and did mention Shitty?

Also.... Are those pint jars?? Or the tall half pints??
pf called for squat wide mouth half pints. Some of your stalling might be due to that. Slow colonization might be due to how tight some of the brf mix is.

Check Ace hardware, they sell them; if you have one in your area.
They are hard to find in my area as well.

You should get a cheap but powerful magnifying glass. You can get some on deal extreme delivered to your door for next to nothing, such as this one, which I use.
$3.65..

That way you can easily see whether you are dealing with mycelium or with contaminants... mycelium radiates nicely from a main hub, nice strands reaching out. Mold is often more chaotic. Whatever you have, bacteria perhaps, will look nothing like mycelium.

Oh, and I used tiny 2 dl glasses (0.4 pints) when I made glasses. I used rice flour and I did not pat the stuff down into the glasses whatsoever, so it was quite fluffy, and it worked fine.
