Bottom line is that they are a mature healthily adult in their own species.
Is it immoral to get sucked off by a calf? Yes, you are abusing the infant suck reflex for your personal gratification. Is it wrong to get sucked off by a bull? If its consensual, no. You're both mature consenting adults within your own species. Unlike the calf the bull isnt misled into the expectation of getting milk by undeveloped naivety. The bull is fully developed therefopr entitled to make its own choices.

The alien might regret this later in life and possibly think he or she was sexually abused, when in reality he/she was just not old enough to make a sound decision at the time. If this species of alien has the same amount of difficulty dealing with mistakes of the past, it would probably be a good idea to hold off on sex.

It's not a question as to your character. It's to what these ideas and wittings may inspire in the hearts and minds of others.
And, to the other guy(C) who keeps defending you as a female, is he getting off on your idealism of aliens sex with 10 year olds spirits? or do you like the idea of that?

If you suck off Carl Sagan you're being that little lowly developed alien. But you're both fully developed adults so its no biggie.

As I have previously said, I know Moth personally, she is a former Mod, I know she is currently in the process of writing something new, and I am not surprised she brought a discussion about a subject she is considering exploring to this forum.
I do not believe her particular idea would have ever popped into my head. But it is a simple hypothetical about a grey area moral issue.
You are the one assuming all kinds of things about why HE would mention such a topic.
Cats can be sexually mature by six months of age, does anybody blame the Tom who knocks a kitten up of pedofelia? Cats mature quickly and live short lives compared to humans. They also never become as smart (well cats would disagree). Different species, different rules.

Um...I don't know, dude. I'm kinda drunk and high right now. I don't ever try to control my creativity! And sometimes that leads me down some weird places!
All I know is...my character decided to do this. He's having a relationship with this being. And I was like "cool, that's great, I love when characters connect!" but then I was like...oh wait a moment...she's like...ten years old. She's an ALIEN so she ages differently. But she's still young, in the head, so to speak.
And I was like...how taboo would this be...to write about this relationship. And that led me to make this post!

It would be morally wrong to deny the alien the rights of adulthood. Its ethically indefensible to brand that alien as unworthy based on their fully developed natural healthy state.
It would be speciesist.
Can we get more philosophical vegans and animal rights philosophers in this discussion please? This is exactly in their realm of interest, the rights of lesser advanced species as contrasted with our own.

Humans have the ability to become highly intelligent but they do mentally mature slower than shorter lived species.
Human longevity allows them to become wise.
I think if you focus on the mental youth of your character, you may open a can of worms. If they don't live as long, their brains would likely develop faster (well I don't really know, I am comparing a fictional and imaginary alien to Earth creatures, it is your character), yet they would not be as wise as a human

That was the first take. They tried a few more times but it never looked as good and never landed on the roof (I forget if that was their original intent but I know they liked it when they got it). They considered rigging it with string, but went with the lucky first take instead.

No seriously, it's about a ten year old alien with a mature personality, having an own will and reason. Not a human and not an animal.
But after hithhiker's guide to galaxy the question of inferior/superior beings is quite irrelevant or should I say it's to re-evaluate for thinkers of the speculative sci-fi genre.
And maybe that could be one of your points: The re-evaluation of inferior vs. superior beings... Uhm if you want that.

What about Twilight? It's widely accepted by the public, people let their children see it/ read it.
You've got a 5000 year old Vampire in a relationship with a 17 year old girl and everyone seems to be cool with that...
