How does fresh mushrooms compare to dried ones in effect and dosage. So what I mean is if you take one gram dried what would be the equivalant in effect fresh? Using psilocybe cubensis as the shrooms.

I believe the general rate is 10 times as much for fresh then dry, making 1 dry gram equal to 10 fresh.

yeah, it's a little more potent. i'd say multiply by 8.

Sorry forgive me. I'm failing to understand. So if I want a 1 gram dried dose trip. I would take 8 grams fresh?

If i use the Shroomery Dosage Calculator  i get the following results:

(cubensis)
level 1 = 6g fresh or 0,9g dried
level 2 = 10g fresh or 1,5g dried
level 3 = 17g fresh or 2,6g dried
level 4 = 26g fresh or 4g dried
level 5 = 36g fresh or 5,3g dried

the calculator uses variables for how much potency is lost when drying. it's pretty variable, and it looks like the calculator's variable for potency loss is on the high side.

in my experiece. 8 fresh grams is usually about the same in potency as 1 well dried, properly stored gram.

the "times 10" deal isnt for potency, its weight. 10g wet, once dried, will be 1gram of dried material.

not much potency is lost with drying i think as long as you do it correctly.
