Mushroom identification please
    #18715014 - 08/16/13 02:49 PM (10 years, 5 months ago)

Habitat:
Minnesota, in woods on dead tree.

Gills:
Whiteish gills

Stem:
Small, dark tan, thin

Cap:
Tan with brown nipple on top

Spore print color:
Think it's purple because there was purple on the stem and when I touched it, it came off.

Bruising:
None that I can identify

Other information:
Found in the summer, on dead tree in the woods, think it is in the category of mycena.

You should also take close up pictures of the gills.

It looks like a bleeding Mycena sp., possibly M. hameatopus.

Top maybe Mycena
Bottom light colored ones look like Inocybe.

Looks like Bleeding Mycenas and an Inocybe that looks and smells like geophylla that I find sometimes.

Inocybe that look/smell like that are relatively common here too, I wonder how widespread it is, or how many species look like that...
