Pin gills?

Hey all, I began to see pinning at about 80% colonization on this brf jar. Having waited for 100%+1wk, I'm now seeing tons of pins, including one which seems to be showing its gills?
Is this normal? Is it a sign of something? I'm confused, it doesn't look like the sort of invitro pinning I've seen in photos here on the shroomery. Have I inadvertently grown something other than a cube? I'll be birthing and dunking this bad boy soon, what should be done with all those little nubs? Thanks for anything!

sign might be of contam and also...
couldnt see the non colonizated part, but my guess is that there could be some bacteria in that jar also. looks too wet! was it like that form the begining or the water started pooling after?

Most of my other jars succumbed to bacteria, so that wouldn't surprise me.

It's fully colonized now, but it started pinning at about 80%, and I waited it out. Now I've got mad pins, should I have birthed immediately upon seeing pins?

The condensation and pooling water is new. The sub seemed to shrink away from the walls of the jar as the myc colonized it, then the condensation began to form...

If u birth it n it reaks like bacteria. Butter or sweet. U can dunk it in a 95:5 h2o:h2o2 and that might save it. If not fruit it out side. No need to be breeding contam in ur grow area

That is invitro pinning, they look ok from here maby some moisture but ok it looks. These things can happen. Look for funny colors that look nasty like contams. Otherwise they must be brithed and dunk and rolled fast to!

That's awful advice. If your cakes don't look or smell right, you put them outside or throw them away. H2O2 won't help shit.

Yes it a good idea to smell them outside if you see colors and contams. signs .But smell is always a great way to catch a problem . You will learn what good fresh smell of the mushy mycelium smells like and you need to know because sometime looks are difficult.
