Hello folks, I was a bit baffled today, I found some mushrooms in my garden (a vegetable/plant pot)
Habitat: In one of my vegetable pots, the onions finished a few weeks ago, the slugs are always nearby, but these mushrooms are isolated in soil with a small amount of wood chippings.
Gills: Orange/brown, light gills (orange)
Stem: small, thin and hollow
Cap: Quite flat with a darker cap on top.
Spore print color: Brown lines
Bruising: Brown.

Thanks!

Looks to be a Pholiotina, I'm sure someone will help you with the exact species. I'd call it Pholiotina rugosa, but there are sevveral similar species.

Yes, Pholiotina, but unless the op wants to just slap the name P. rugosa on it I doubt anyone can help without microscopy. It could actually be P. rugosa for all we know!

Oh, right, I thought there may be tiny telltale macroscopic signs to discern the species I wasn't aware of. It's safe to say it has similar chemical profile to P. rugosa, right?

There could be, but idk anyone who has the experience with them to tell them apart like that yet. For example I've noticed the Pholiotina i find in potted plants which keys to to P. utricystidiata is noticeably smaller than the Pholiotina in find in grass or wood chips. And yes, until proven otherwise I would assume all the ringed Pholiotina species are equally poisonous.
