which one is that?  I have no idea what any of these are.  I'm in Alabama.  if you know what they are, I'd love to know.

never mind.  I see earthstar.  Yeah, I thought those were really neat.  They caught my eye and I thought they looked like swollen acorns at first, until I looked closer.  yeah, it's pretty neat.

Geastrum: Its the star shaped one with the sac on top.

1st one looks like it might be a bolete, but need a gill picture, did it have gills or pores, what color, did it bruise, what color did it bruise?

If you want IDs you got to give a little more

2nd one might be pluteus?

The stubby glossy burgundy/red one with white on top is a Ganoderma.

Try to edit the OP and add numbers before each pic.

You can also go back and add names as you figure out IDs.

I don't think any of them bruised.  What is 11?

no, you asked if it bruised.  I don't' think any were magic.  I was just walking a trail and seeing what's out there.  those are what I found.  Just wanted to know more about what I seen.

Right on Bro, when i mentioned the bruising I was talking about the  bolete.

Just teasing cause alot of people post here

only looking for actives

and people who might help w/ IDs

don't cause that gets old quick.

Though I like seeing pics of both.

I'd like to know what 5 and 11 are.  I need to get a field guide.  Any recommendations?

A pic of the underside helps a lot with IDs. For example 3 is probably a Chanterelle, but a key identification feature is whether it has true or false gills.

1. Boletus
2. maybe Mycena
3. prob Cantharellus
4. Russula
5. Boletus
6. Geastrum
7. Mycena
8. maybe Pholiota
9. bolete
10. Ganoderma
11. Lepiota
